Josh Jones grew up as a pastor's son in small East Texas towns. Around the age of 13 he began to
develop a love for skating and the culture by which it was surrounded. Josh accepted Christ at
an early age. However, it was also at the age of 13 and around the same time that he began to skate
that he really began to discover what it really means to follow Christ. That was also the same
year that he surrendered to full time vocational ministry. About a year after Josh surrendered to
ministry God gave him the vision to start a ministry which would reach out to skaters and
their culture.
Then when he was 15 he and his family moved to Wimberley, Texas, in between Austin and San
Antonio, in order for his dad to pastor the body of Christ at FBC Wimberley. A year and a half
later God began to open doors for Josh to participate in the leadership of a newly formed
ministry through Cypress Creek Church which was directed to outreach and disciple the skaters of
Wimberley. While God began to open these doors He also gave Josh the opportunity to teach junior
high boys in sunday school.
About a year after the ministry had started Josh left in order to follow the calling of
God to the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor. There Josh took on the role of Pastor to juniorhigh
and highschool students at FBC Moffat. Now after a year of prayer, direction, and guidance Josh has
been given a different direction in his calling to minister to skaters. Josh now feels that he has
been called to use his experience with his first ministry to skaters in helping other churches or
communities start their own outreaches to skaters. Now more than ever Josh feels a strong
calling to minister to, disciple, and speak in front of juniorhigh and highschool students and to
skaters of all ages. Prayers and blessing to all of you.
