"Best Bubs"

My little cousin "Nic" and I

A quote to remember: "Live every day to its fullest......"

Hi! My name is Matt, I am 24 years old, and I am a Gemini. I was born in Mansfield General Hospital in Mansfield, Ohio in June. I have lived in Bucyrus, Ohio for 24 years. Bucyrus is a little old farming town. Also, Bucyrus is a German town. In Bucyrus we celebrate the Bratwurst Festival every year in August. Usually between August 14 and 20. I live in a family of four. I went to Bucyrus High School in Bucyrus, Ohio and I graduated from there on May 28, 2000. The two best schools in Crawford County are Bucyrus High School and Colonel Crawford High School. Most of the people I know now graduated from Crawford I don't know very many people from Bucyrus anymore, even the people I have graduated with because I haven't seen them since graduation day. That was five years ago. Well this year is my five year class reunion. I think I may go just to see how much some the people have changed that I don't see every day out at IB-Tech. Where I work making Honda Civic Risers for the seats. I can speak a little French "Bonjor" and Spanish "Cómo está". I have been to France, Switzerland, Belgium, and Canada. I also have been to all the states in the Eastern Time Zone except for the Northern New England states, Delaware, and Maryland but I have been to New York. I want to go back to New York city because I was at the twin towers two years before it happened. I was in tears when I heard that happened because I could have been there if that happened two years earlier.

You can view my trip to France and Switzerland by going to one of the links below. Sorry, I don't have picture of Belgium becuase I wasn't there long enough to take picture meaning my flight from Nice, France to New York had a lay over in Brussel, Belgium.

Talking more about my flight from Nice to New York I saw parts of England and Ireland on the way back to the states. I was glad to be back on American soil once again. But while in France I was also on American soil. If you are wondering how that can be I was at the D-Day Cemetery where the American flag was flying high over the cemetery filed with fallen American soldiers. I started to cry because I felt like one of my relatives was buried there. But I never found one of there names or there names on the missing in action. Still I was sad because so many American had died. Ever the man from New Jersey that was there on June 11, 1999 a few days after the anniversary of D-Day (June 6th, 1944). He was telling his story about the attack on the German on Omaha Beach, Normandy. He was one of the few men that lived from that tragic day because he went on D3. He got held up in England. So, he wasn't there on D1 (June 6th). He was crying the whole time he told the story. I could understand because it was a blood shed for the Americans. He said why did the ships shoot the cliff tops to get some American inland. But they didn't they were shooting 30 miles inland that didn't help the soilders. So, many Americans died because of the ships wouldn't help them. If you want to see what really happened that day rent "Saving Private Ryan" the first five minutes is the horror that happened at the Omaha Beaches.

American Cemetery at St Laurent, Normandy, France, where almost 11000 Americans lie buried

Part of my life I lived on my Grandmother's Farm out on Biddle Road across from Pickwicks Farm, I lived there until I was fourteen when she died of train and car accident. So, her house was like a second home to me. I would help feed the animals (cows, chickens, pigs, Guinea Fowl, Horse, Cats, and Dogs), work in the garden, and go help my grandmother pick berries in the woods. The land on Biddle across from Pickwicks and on Remerlinger, the woods was own by my grandmother, Liz Witter and my step-grandfather, Emmer Witter.

My hobbies are working on my computer, working on my car, playing with radio controlled cars and trucks (So I'm a Kid at heart), and playing sports. Some of the sports I play are football, baseball, and basketball. My favorite sport is baseball. When I was around six years old I started playing baseball and I have played baseball ever since then. When I was in eighth grade I played football for the Bucyrus Redmen. The head coach for the Bucyrus Redmen was Coach Frye. He was a great coach, he taught us to be strong and think while on and off the field that help me through school because if I didn't have as great of coach as him I would of never graduated. Bucyrus Redmens motto was Bigger, Faster, Stronger and we the football team lived by that if we didn't what he taught us to be strong and think while on and off the field would never had helped. Playing sports runs in my family. My cousin (Chris Martin) played for the Galion Tigers back in the early Nineties and went on to Ashland with a football scholarship but turned it down because he said the college boys were too big. Then he went to Ashland for a teaching degree. After that he went on to OSU Marion and thats where he met his wife Jen. After marring Jen he went back to school and graduated from Mt. Vernon College with a Business major. He saids he going back to futher his education.

I am a graduate from North Central State College with a degree of Associate in Applied Science in Drafting and Design Technology. Later on in life I'm going back to school at Ohio State University to study Architecture and Business Management to get my masters and further my education. After, I get my masters I will start a business in Architecture in my hometown of Bucyrus. I may settle down with the one I love, my wife before I go back to school. The person I hope to fall in love with someday is some girl I know from high school, college, or someone I meet and fell maddly deeply in love with. When that happens I would like to take her to France. Maybe the French Riveria that would be a great honeymoon. Right now, I'm single until I find the one that I have been looking for years.

Something to remember is "I believe, I can" because if you do, you have filled your highest goal in life. A person that believes they can do anything can accomplish their dreams.

I believed I could do anything I wanted to do. If I just put my mine toward it and I did. I first wanted to be an artist but I took that further and went into drafting. After the artist phase went away I wanted to go into residential construction. That is going to happen because I just graduated from college with associate of applied science in drafting and design technology. Later I am going to further my education in Architecture at Ohio State University in Columbus. I first started like drawing housing plans when I was fourteen. I drew my first plan when I was fifth teen it was my future home but that change over the years because I am now on my third plan. My first plan was just and ordinary house, my second was a house with a master bedroom downstairs, and then I took my second plan and combine it with my third and made a home with a continuous porch around it. The porch separate from the front and back at the master bedroom to have a little privacy. Then when I got into high school I took drafting classes, one of the classes I took was Architecture and I liked the class real well. I thought about it, do I want to go into construction or architecture. Then I thought, I can combine them because I like to draw and build.

I have ICQ,Yahoo, and MSN if you want to talk email me first to get my user name.
