"Go Pig or Go Home" - The 2006 "Powder Pig" Migration

Once again, the 2006 migration was another great trip with the size of our group growing to 12.

It snowed 15cm our first night on the Mountain giving the Powder Pigs perfect conditions
for our first full day of skiing on Friday. Clear skies, no wind and new snow. Everyone was down at the
lifts before they were even running and we experienced one of the top 5 ski days we have ever
had on all or our migrations to Big White. This was the view near the top of the Powder Chair.

Three rookies made the trip in 2006, but there were supposed to be four. Hayden (from Calgary) was a
no show. In this picture we have the rookies Adam (aka "Da Bomb") far left, Chris (aka "Half-Day")
beside him and Matt (aka "M2" - pronounced M Squared) on the far right with "Marko" and a bar
hottie proudly displaying her coveted Powder Pig button. For the first time, "Half-Day"
brought along Powder Pig business cards for everyone on the trip to hand out.

The cabins were not joined via an interior door as Colin was led to believe when he booked the accommodation.
This caused problems with meals and we eventually decided to split up the breakfast food and alternate
accommodations for dinners. The walk to the bar was quite far and we ended up on the shuttle most nights.

The Powder Pig rituals were in full force on Friday and Saturday nights with our pins and beads being in
high demand. Two of the rookies (M2 and Half-Day) were amazed at the power of a few pins and beads.
In this picture the Powder Pigs get a picture with the local constables. Dare I say PIGS!!

Matt was a big partier in the bar and a lot of the girls thought he was really cute and funny.

Les got involved in a couple of shirt swaps in Snowshoe Sam's that went really well. This one
looked promising but she would only get down to her bra. Oh well, we keep hoping!

And, as usual, "Chicken Man" (aka The Fisherman) was in fine form. The red shirts were a big
hit and, as usual, "The Fisherman" had them jumping into the boat right from the get go.

The group hooked up with a group of ladies who were all married, but like to hang with the Powder Pigs
because we weren't a threat. As you can see, a couple of them were quite cute and clung onto Jamie.
As I recall, the blonde above was smitten with "The Fisherman." Her friend had the bunny ears.

Colin pulled off the fake turd in the washroom prank in the other side of the cabin on Sunday morning
with Tony falling victim. "The Magician" explained to everyone how he just couldn't get the turd to flush
and when he tried breaking it up with the bowl brush. We all had a good laugh about that one.

We decided to take the turd to the bar that night and it ended up in the ladies washroom which had only
two stalls. Colin locked one stall and placed the fake turd on the floor of the other and then we all
sat back and watched the fun unfold. Lots of laughs were had by all as we watched the look on
the women's faces as they exited the can and went back to their tables to tell what they had seen.

Looking forward to "Year of the Boar" from Feb. 22 to Feb. 27, 2007.
