Hufflepuff was founded by Helga Hufflepuff, who hailed from a valley. She helped found Hogwarts along with Rowena Ravenclaw, Godric Gryffindor, and Salazar Slytherin.
Hufflepuff house is represented by a badger, a near opposite of what the people inside are like. The house colors are black and yellow. The house ghost is The Fat Friar and the head of house is Professor Sprout. The location of their common room is not yet known.
Famous Hufflepuffs include: Cedric Diggory, Hannah Abbot, and Susan Bones (the last two seem to stick with fans for some reason)
