For those of you who have just discovered this site, it is dedicated to our son Stephen and His Car Herbie.   Stephen is a true “Herbie the Love Bug” fan and the owner of the award winning 1965 replica shown above.  Now you might think that this is just another replica, but don’t judge too quickly.  Stephen’s Herbie is the only known living car with his own Pentium processor based brain.  And he isn’t alone, he has friends.  As you will see from the film clips on this page, his friends include  Beauregard (Bo), Daisy and their dog Duke.  Bo and Daisy will give you a 12 minute run down on how they first found Herbie and helped bring him to life…  They also throw in a few jokes and even get Herbie to play a little music to entertain the crowds

The film clip below is a Windows Media Audio/Video File (WMV) format which should play on most computers.  You will need a copy of Microsoft’s Windows Media Player, Version 7.01 (free download from their web site) and a little patience since the files are a little large (it takes between 10 and 15 minutes with a 56K modem).  I have included two versions, the actual low resolution video file (the high resolution file is around 20Meg and I really couldn't put it on this web page) that should play when you place your cursor over the picture, and a self extracting copy (.exe file) which you can download and then open/play.   If you would like to find out more about our son Stephen and his car Herbie, you can go to his brand new webpage at:  .http://stephensherbie.com/ .  Here you will find out what really makes Herbie tick and some pretty cool pics as well.
