Here it is, the latest pics about the Kustomsledd. We're talking 500 cubic inches of big Cadillac power, coupled to a Turbo 400 automatic. This swap necessitated changing out the rear axle to an 8" Ford with a 3.00-to-1 ring and pinion for proper gearing and increased life. Hold onto your socks, ya ain't gonna believe how well it works...
Here it is, I've come a long way since I started on the sledd. I chopped the top 5", angle-channeled the body down over the flooring, rebuilt the rockers, put in new rear wheelhouses, and set the car up with air ride all around.
Here's the start of the new rear window. First I had to get rid of this huge opening, left after chopping the top and removing the old window glass. The purple filler is actually a section from the Tudor quarter panel of the '28.

The panel in place. Now there's a much smaller area to fill between these panels, and with a relatively flat piece of sheetmetal. I found this way much easier than trying to fill the hole with one large section.
The new oval rear window, from the centerdoor T sedan panel. The white strip below is the small filler I needed to eliminate some rust holes along the bottom edge, and properly space the window opening vertically.
