Role Play Background: Randy Orton has been on quite the roll as of late. Eric Bischoff got his first win against The Rock and now Eric comes after the Intercontinental Championship in a cage match.
*"Randy Orton's Theme Song" is playing as he comes out from the back. Dressed in black slacks and a blue dress up shirt that had the top few buttons left unbuttoned, his hair all spiked. He climbs into the ring and jumps up on the turnbuckle throwing his arms into the air. Orton hops down and gets a microphone standing in the middle of the ring.*
Randy Orton: I know I didn't realize how easily the IXWF could keep the old men coming. One right after the other they just keep lining up. I mean come on, they actually expect me to waste my time with the likes of Eric Bischoff? This guy is an absolute joke. I mean no offense Eric, but you can't hack it with a guy like me. You don't stand the slightest bit of a chance in the ring with me. I'm going to be running circles around you Eric. You just don't have the speed, the athleticism, the smarts, you don't have anything on me. I always knew The Rock was on a downward spiral around here, but I never thought he was so bad that even he would lose to you. It's absolutely ridiculous. Let's go with the speed for a moment, have you seen the great shape I'm in? Not only am I in good shape, I'm at a good age. You might be in good shape for your age, but that broken down body of yours isn't going to keep up with me. I could lap you all over the place Eric. Or how about your strength. Those sure aren't twenty four inch pythons. What are you armed with, six inch garden snakes as arms? Please, just take a look at my arm, that's the arm that took Scott Steiner's and pinned it down to the table in an arm wrestling contest. That's an arm with real strength. You couldn't come close to Scott Steiner. Not only will I move faster than you, when I hit you it's going to hurt a whole hell of a lot more. Now when it comes to smarts, well you have a little bit of brain still functioning up there, just waiting for you to have a stroke and lose that ability to. None-the-less don't count me out because I'm a young guy. Wrestling is in my blood so when it comes down to the mechanics, the in ring smarts, I'll still show you up. Your only usefulness Eric is staying outside of the ring. In the ring I don't really think you know what to do, a few Karate kicks aren't going to get the job done. Not when you're facing someone who's as talentecd as I am. You can't fool me or the crowd, they all know I am the supreme athlete in this federation and that no other person here comes close to what I am. So you go ahead and bring me what you've got, because what little you do have doesn't worry me in the slightest. I'm actually looking forward to meeting you in the ring. I love when I can step into the ring with a guy who I know is going to make me look real good. Slapping you around the ring should do just the job. It's not like you could make me look bad, I mean honostly, who could make me look bad? I have it all, the smarts, the strength, the quickness, and the bottom line is that I am just the all around best pure athlete in the IXWF today. Nobody can touch me, nobody even comes close. The closest person to me is David Flair, I like that kid, but I am the personification of what wrestling is and what it should me. If this federation were just a bunch of clones of me, you would have the most entertaining wrestling federation in the history of the sport. I am a little taste of perfection, one of God's greatest works. When I came up Eric, they destroyed the mold, because there just couldn't be another one like me. So what you have to ask yourself Eric is do you really measure up? Are your karate kicks and martial arts you claim to be so good at going to get you anywhere with me? I don't see it happening, I don't think you'll last. You'll be just another "legend" that gets killed in that ring. Your legacy of one win will stop at one win. You're not going to be starting an old timer winning streak on my account, oh no. Eric I know what's going on in your mind, you've realized that you can smell the death as you pass through a mid-life crisis. You're about to stick one foot in the grave. So now you feel like you have to prove yourself in the ring so that you can try to feel young again. Ha ha, well Eric, I am the fountain of youth, but Eric it dwells inside me, so don't come looking for a drink. I'd rather watch you shrivel up old man. I say you go buy yourself some milk and start chugging to avoid osteoperosis, because I'm going to break your brittle bones in two. Each and every one of them if I have to. Nothing, absolutely nothing stops me from winning and holding on to my Intercontinental Championship. Not you, not anyone. How are you going to feel Eric, when you realize you can't get past the R-K-O!
*Orton's music started playing again as he once again jumped up on the turnbuckle and threw his arms out to the side. He then got down and made his way to the back.*

*The camera finds Michael Cole and Randy Orton both standing in the back interview area.*
Michael Cole: Does Eric Bischoff bring to the table something any of your past opponents haven't been able to do?
Randy Orton: Does Eric Bischoff bring anything new to the table? Nothing more than age. I know I keep harping on that fact, but it plays a big role. All of my past opponents had him beat in skill, but when it comes to age as the old cliche goes, hope he doesn't break a hip. The old man just can't bring himself into my league. Do you understand that? He's not even close to being able to step up to this level. As a matter of fact he probably does not even have the slightest clue on how to step up to this kind of competitive level. However I do understand that doing that is incredibly though to do. As a matter of fact I'm so intimidating I almost intimidate myself. Ha ha, but nothing really scares me. Not even Eric Bischoff's face.
Michael Cole: Mr. Bischoff did beat The Rock, you touched on it earlier, but could you expand on your thoughts of that?
Randy Orton: Eric Bischoff beat The Rock, well good for him, you see I did the same. The Rock hasn't been a real competitor around here in a long time. So what if Eric got the win? Accidents happen. Not when i'm in the ring of course, but when other people are in the ring, they screw up. The Rock screwed up and Eric was able to capitalize on it. That has absolutely nothing to do with the skill level or lack there of on Eric Bischoff and has everything to do with the fact that The Rock messed up. That's the only thing you can tie it to, The Rock's mistake. I don't make mistakes, it simply doesn't happen. I am too good and too pure of a great athlete to mess it up. If you don't believe me just pay close attention to the match and see what happens.
Michael Cole: Bischoff is hungry for a victory, he might go for it at any cost, how does that play into your game plan?
Randy Orton: I don't care of he's Hungry. If Bischoff is hungry he can go buy himself a ham sandwich. That's what I say to that, because you want to know who is really hungry? That's right it's me. I'm hungry to stay on top of things, to keep showing the world just how great I am. I'm hungry to prove myself. To prove how I don't stop. I'll push every muscle in my body to be better than the next guy and better than I was yesterday. If I stop there'll be no victory lap and I'll accomplish nothing. I can't stop. I don't even know the meaning of the word. You want Hungry? Well that's what hungry is. Eric Bischoff isn't hungry for anything, I'm the definition of what hunger is. Look into my eyes, you can SEE what real hunger looks like.
Michael Cole: Your Intercontinental Championship is on the line, do you have any fear of losing it?
Randy Orton: Do you not understand anything that comes out of my mouth. Do I fear losing my intercontinental Championship? Hell no I don't fear I will lose it and why should I? I worked too hard to get it and you can guarantee that I'm not some slappy who wins a belt then drops it because he wasn't ready for it to begin with. I will show Eric Bischoff and the world that the belt I hold is not just some gold strap, it means that the person who holds it is a real man of wrestling. A man who deserves recognition in our sport, a token of appreciation for hard work and a sign that says you aren't just the next old man. My intercontinental championship will remain around my waist and that's the only thing anybody really needs to know about it.
Michael Cole: The last time we saw you wrestling you were tag teaming with David Flair, is there anymore information you can give us on that?
Randy Orton: Ha ha, what you saw in the ring was the greatest tag team the IXWF has ever seen. I've been saying for a while it's no longer about Degernation-X, the nWo, or CCD. The old timers are being shut down one by one. The new generation, the young bloods, myself and David Flair, well it will only be a short matter of time before we are the tag team champions. It's not like anyone should be surprised though, it's been coming to a head for a long time. So just wait until "Evolution" has to step up against real competition. David and Myself will be the champions. When you see the two of us in the ring, you are watching the future of the federation transforming as the two of us deliver to all of you a real "Taste of Perfection!".
Michael Cole: Any final words for Eric Bischoff?
Randy Orton: Oh yeah I have some final words. Eric Bischoff, keep an eye on the clock because your time is ticking away. You just wait until it comes match time and we get into the ring. I'll be surprised if you even show up to the event. Maybe by now it's starting to sink in to your thick skull that you have nowhere to run so your best bet is to not even come down to the ring just to get embarrassed. That's all that would happen to you Bischoff, it's bad enough how much you embarrass yourself let alone to have me having to do it to you. The match is just a short time away, I'm ready, are you Eric? I'm ready to pin you down just like the other so called legends around here. I am Randy Orton, and I will kill you just like the rest.
*The camera fades out..*
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*The scene shows Randy Orton in the middle of an important conversation with a friend of his on the cell phone. No cameras are around.*
Randy Orton: Oh yeah man, both Sunny and Torrie Wilson in the same match? No matter who wins or loses I have got to get a better look at that. I'll have to see if I can do some color commentating for that match or something...
*The scene ends.*
