"Just 2 Badd" - Beyond Wrestling

Role Play Background: It was one month ago that The Badd Boy defeated Raptor to retain his coveted Intercontinental Championship. The Badd Boy is coming into Whiplash, and hoping that if the name holds true that Raptor will be leaving this night with a very sore neck. The Badd One has a lot to accomplish and he can only obtain his goals with a victory this night. The Pay-Per-View is shaping up to be a big extravaganza of an event, and The Badd One is not looking to back down from a fight. This one will be a doozy, but you can rest assured that The Badd Boy is coming with all guns a blazing as he goes to take down Raptor for the Intercontinental Championship.

*The Badd Boy is talking with Degenerate whom both are standing outside of the Staples center in Los Angelus California. They watch people as they drive through the downtown area while just keeping up a conversation.*

Degenerate: Dude how cool is that, we are the tag team champions?

The Badd Boy: That is pretty awesome I admit that.

Degenerate: The Shady Tree didn't come crashing down on us.

The Badd Boy: Dirty D didn't play Dirty enough.

Degenerate: The lights didn't go down on us.

The Badd Boy: That isn't a homosexual phrase is it?

Degenerate: Dear Lord I hope it isn't.

The Badd Boy: We'll have the next unreal.

Degenerate: Oh no, please don't even joke like that.

The Badd Boy: Sorry.

Degenerate: It's ok, I forgive you this time, but not again. Never will we see the likes of him around here again.

The Badd Boy: Yeah so this is pretty cool.

Degenerate: Yeah dude, champions rule. Chicks dig guys with gold.

The Badd Boy: I'm taken care of. I think you need a girl.

Degenerate: I'm good thanks.

The Badd Boy: You don't want one?

Degenerate: Of course I do, but all of the ones I am around are crazy. Some of this nutty wrestling chicks like Mercedes, Black Widow, Amy Dumas, Tammy Lynn Sytch, they are all nuts dude.

The Badd Boy: Find you a good girl and just bring her in as a valet.

Degenerate: Yeah I could do that. Though did you catch Johnny Northern Lights on camera?

The Badd Boy: About the ring?

Degenerate: Yeah he's buying for his girlfriend A SIZE 10!?

The Badd Boy: Who's he dating sasquatch?

Degenerate: What size is that one you have?

The Badd Boy: I'm an 11, what about you?

Degenerate: I wear my class ring sometimes and it's a 10.

The Badd Boy: His chick must have some manly hands...hopefully that's the only thing about her.

Degenerate: Yeah for real, that scares me.

The Badd Boy: Me too.

*The camera man arrives.*

Degenerate: Well, I don't have a match this week and since he is here I am guessing it is time for me to split.

The Badd Boy: Yeah I have a job to do.

Degenerate: I just want to get out of here before you put me....err I mean before I fall asleep.

The Badd Boy: ......................

Degenerate: Just messin' with ya, I'll be in my locker room, catch ya later.

The Badd Boy: Later man.

*Degenerate walks out of view and goes into the building. The Badd Boy stretches for a moment, and he stands there as the sun glistens in the background and light white clouds roll through the sky The Badd Boy looks into the camera wearing his black with blue lettering "Just 2 Badd" T-Shirt, and a pair of jean shorts. He has on some tennis shoes and is wearing his backwards black fitted cap with the "Truth" logo on it. He begins to talk into the camera he requested about his match upcoming.*

The Badd Boy: Raptor, One more time we step in the ring with each other. You are coming off having a months rest it seems, and yet I have not stopped. Usually someone in your case would feel as if that gives them an advantage, but I don't feel that way. Not for you at least, but for myself, I think I have a tremendous advantage, you see you have been doing some slappy jobs in the ring this past month. Raptor, you are typically a top level competitor, a great athlete, but the jobs I have seen you doing against Jake Jeckyl, and against my brother Wes, have been absolutely horrible. Myself I have been fighting hard and competing, earning my tag team championship. It isn't easy. You know actually ever since you lost to me at Hell On Earth, you seem to have been thrown into a downward spiral. I mean it was bad enough after you lost to Punisher, not once, but twice now you were already doing bad, but you still kept a good image and good level of competition. It amazes me how bad you have been doing, yet you get another shot at my InterContinental Championship, are you just the best they can scrape up? Why not give some rookie a chance, someone like Dirty D has been more impressive than you have. Whatever though, because life deals us cards that we just have to live with. Unfortunately the card that has been dealt to me that I have to take you on at Whiplash. I hope Raptor, that you can step up your game, because if you are just going to be slapped around in the ring I don't even want to fight you. I don't want you in the ring unless you are going to be putting up a fight, give a challenge, and put our skills to the test. That's what makes a match great, and this month is a special month for me, so I want the match to surpass greatness I want it to be spectacular, but it takes two of us to do that. See Raptor, I actually have a need for you to be there and to be at your best, because any other way would be less than great. When I beat you for the second time in our second match that we have had against each other, I want to be able to tell the world that I beat Raptor at his best again. I know you are good, there is no doubting that, but I want to prove to be better. It takes a lot to be the best I understand this, but nothing short of the lengths I am willing to go to prove to be that number one guy. Being number one is only what so many claim to be, but when it comes time to put up or shut up, they don't know what they have been yapping about, because more often than not they have to shut up. Then there are the guys who have so much pride that they can't believe that even though they lost that they aren't number one so they keep lying to themselves pretending that they are the greatest. Only to get dropped again, I on the other hand prefer to back up what I claim and to back it up I have to keep going. Raptor, I am a man that claims to be the best, and I know you have claimed to be the best, yet I already beat you. So once again it comes time to put it up or shut it up. Raptor, the blood sweat and tears that I have been putting into this business are what tells me I can not give up on myself and I can not give up on my fans. So many times I have been put in tight situations and I could easily turn on everyone, not give a crap, and be just me, but I have a duty and an obligation to the fans, my friends, my family, and myself to not give up on myself and take any easy roads out. This match is a tough spot for me because of the significance it has for me and my tenure as the Intercontinental Champion, so I will do what it takes to make myself the winner. Whiplash is the night that I prove to everyone that I am in fact what I say I am, and you can not be the speed bump that slows me down. Some people would call what I have as pride, and some people would call what I have as confidence, others would say that I am arrogant. Well, I admit that I do have Pride that I have to swallow, but I am not arrogant. As far as the confidence goes, well if you don't have confidence in yourself then you can never push yourself beyond your normal limits to push feets you've never imagined. Raptor, can you really be prepared for a match of this magnitude? Or will you give me another sloppy performance and make yourself look like a rookie jobber wrestler?

*The Badd Boy reaches down into a duffel bag he had with him but was out of view and unzips it. He pulls something out of it and as he stands up the light shines off of the shiny Golden Intercontinental Championship belt he has. He throws it over his shoulder then begins to speak again.*

The Badd Boy: The Intercontinental Championship, it personifies one of the greatest achievements one person can grasp a hold of in this business. Next to the World Championship there isn't one better. That means if you are the Intercontinental Champion then you are only literally steps away from being the man. As long as you are good enough, some may say you are the man, because anyone can have a thirst for the world championship. Childred at home want to be the world champion, but it's just as tough to be able to obtain the Intercontinental Championship however it isn't the one so many dream of. So I think it takes a whole lot more inside of you to be able to fight for this gold. It also makes you step out more, because people scout for the world champions, you don't have to do anything to be known as the world heavy weight champion, so as the Intercontinenal Champion though you are a top superstar you have to make yourself stand out, because people aren't look for you, you make them do just that. With my background in the wrestling business and here in the EMF mainly I have fought on many different levels. I started out at the Attitude Internet level which is a very tough level, and there was the Extreme Championship level. I bounced between the two at different times and there was a specific wave of superstars that didn't make it easy on me one bit at all. After roughly eight months of fighting for this company I was given the boost up to the World Championship level and that is where I broke through all barriers to become the world champion. A level like I had never seen before, but a level I didn't get to get into as much. After the vehicular accident that caused me to miss so much time I came back and in no time I was pushed into the Intercontinental Division, and let me tell you this division is a b!tch to fight in. This has been by far the toughest competition I have ever had. While here I have beat Jarred, Wasabi, you Raptor, Justin Franchize, Wes, AJ Detmer, Alex Ritter, Rob Steelhart on a couple of occassions, and numerous others. It has absolutely sucked in the sense that it has been hard work, but you want to know something? I have enjoyed it. I have enjoyed having the toughest competition I have never known. This has been a test of my physical and mental capabilities, and one of the best parts is knowing that when I started this I was not one hundred percent. Since I have been wrestling non-stop I don't think I can say I've ever really had the chance to reach that plateau either, but I have to be getting closers. Another thing is that I am d@mn proud to say that I am the Intercontinental Champion. A belt held by hall of famers such as X-Cold a good friend of mine, and another one known as Primetime Dan Massoud. I am sure those names ring a bell. I can only hope that I will be able to reach the same status as them and be inducted into the EMF Hall Of Fame, and once I do I will have a little chat with Scott Mann, and I will be only the second person allowed into the Total Attitude Wrestling Hall Of Fame, right up there with Chris Benoit. This championship that I hold signifies my accomplishments and things I have achieved here in the EMF. The road that I have gone down has been long, winding, and hard, but I am proud that I never quit, and tha I have always kept going. No matter how tough the competition got, or how tough it keeps getting there just is no room for giving up. I was never a quitter and I never will be one. Know this Raptor, you are going to need things far more powerful than a crowbar or all of the strength you can squeeze out of your body to be able to beat me. I just don't see there being any reason for me to come this far and stop. By this victory I will set the bar where it needs to be for an Intercontinental Champion to call himself great, then when it comes time for Memorial Day and I am at home enjoying a Barbeque dinner, and families around the world are relaxing form that day on I will take that bar and I will just raise it, and raise it, and raise it some more, until greatness will be personified by an Intercontinental Champion. Yes Raptor, that means when people say Intercontinental Champion, and they say greatest of all time in one sentence, then that means they will be talking about me!

*The Badd Boy kneels back down and puts the championship back into the bag and pulls out a bottle of water. He zips the bag up and stands up. He takes a quick drink of his water and starts back up one more time.*

The Badd Boy: Raptor, there is one thing that since I have been back I have not talked about at all. That is the months that I sat at home only being able to watch the television and see the things such as your feud with Def Metal and the antics of Scott Mann. I was sitting there with injuries all over my body namely my back hurt like you could not imagine. You know you are a true superstar in this business when you have that burning passion inside of you to just be able to have the opportunity to step into a ring. I have that fire and it burns deep inside my heart, but what hurt was that I could not quench my thirst for the ring. So that fire kept spreading through out my body like a forest fire, and it just kept burning, and burning, and burning. Until my whole body was engulfed in these flames, any person who looked deep into my eyes could see, and I could feel how hot my passion for the ring was. It was painful, but I had to suffer day after day after day. Oh boy did it ever kill me. Then as I went through physical therapy and my body was aching and it was ready to fail me. I wanted to do things that it decided it didn't want to do, things it wasn't ready for, but I knew that if I didn't then I may never have full use of my body again so I forced myself. Weekly as I made visits to the doctor and he put me on machines, made me to weight exercises and all in all just things I couldn't bare to do I had to remember why I was doing it, and I learned that I was not doing all of that for myself. I was doing it so I could step back into the ring one day and surpass everything I had done before. Just the fact that I had to endure most of that makes me feel d@mn lucky that I even get the pleasure of being allowed to step foot into an EMF wrestling ring. I count my blessings that I am able to do what I get to do. Anytime you have to sit and home for injury reasons and your only wish is to be back beating the living hell out of some people then you realize that sometimes you take this business for granted. You take it for granted that you are given the opportunity to fight for a championship, the opportunity that you have to compete with the best in the business. Raptor you are supposed to be one of the best in this business. You are a man on your own, and ever since you decided that you can't be a sideshow for Wasabi and that you are now just yourself and out for you, I think you have been doing worst. You see out on your own you have to be a stand up guy that people can follow in some way or another, you have to be a leader. Raptor you have to learn to be pro-active which in this business means you have to get out and beat everyone else before they can beat you. It is up to you to take the initiative and drive out everyone else, because you are following noone, and we can't have a federation full of nothing but people who want to be leaders so the weight falls on your shoulders. I truly believe that though you got off to a good start as most anyone can do the weight that fell upon you caused you to buckle under the pressure and before long you went down, and now you are biding time before you are counted out. What makes you think the results this month will be any different from the results of last month? I already proved that I could beat you in a one on one scenario, that was the tough part. Once I have done it once then I know that I can do it again, the question is in the match how far will you push me. What is going to play out the most will it be endurance, will it become strength or speed? This is going to be one hell of a match up no doubt, but I know that in my heart there is no room for losing, and I have all of these in ring quailities that match or surpass yours. So all I have to do is not take you lightly and remember that I am going against one tough SOB, and then I am home free, because I am looking for you to want me to have hell to pay. I know you don't personally like me and you want to stop your downward spiral, you want to come out on top and being the Intercontinental Champion, would be one hell of a feet for you to help you, but Raptor, That is Just Too Badd, because The Badd One is not going anywhere. I am a Force Of One, and I am a force to be reckoned with, for you Raptor there are no questions, just promises that I will retain my Intercontinental Championship.

*The Badd Boy gives a salute to the camera then grabs the duffel bag and puts the strap over his shoulder. With that over one arm and a water bottle in hand he heads inside to the arena.*

......:::::LATER ON:::::.......

*DGNR8 awaits in the hallway for The Badd Boy. He had sent a messenger to tell him to meet him there. He stands there with a dog costume on. The Badd Boy walks down the hallway with the Tag Team Championship belt around his waist and the Intercontinental Championship slung over his shoulder. The camera is on and DGNR8 is holding a microphone as The Badd Boy gives him a funny look.*

The Badd Boy: Dude what are you doing?

DGNR8: I was thinking I could be the new mascot for LA, what do you think?

The Badd Boy: Yeah, why don't you try and go help the Kings hockey club out.

DGNR8: But I am a dog not a King.

The Badd Boy: Yeah it won't matter, even a giant dog on skates would improve them. Instead of the great one you could the ruff one.

DGNR8: Oh ha ha, what a riot we have here folks.

The Badd Boy: Do I detect sarcasm?

DGNR8: No, er...none at all.

The Badd Boy: So anyways, why don't we just get the show started here.

DGNR8: Gotcha, so Badd Boy, this is the second time you have had to face Raptor in a one on one encounter, how do you feel about the situation:

The Badd Boy: Well I can't say that this is the first instance of something like this happening. Of course in this business you always have to take on an opponent more than once. What makes this one interesting is that I have a history for going two and zero with people. You can name them off, of course my little brother goes a zillion and zero with me. Then there is Jarred Carthallion. Raptor's former partner Wasabi did. Rob Steelhart has. Of course there was Angelus Archer. How could anyone forget Justin Franchize, and knowing that I have faced a lot of people I know that others exist. The only person I didn't was DDP, but I double carded on my first loss to him, and I was much more focused on the othe rmatch, and he was never seen again after I beat him so that must say something.

DGNR8: That it does. Do you feel that you have prepared properly for this match?

The Badd Boy: Well you know brother I said my prayers, and took my vitamins...no wait. Sorry had a little Hogan syndrome there, don't ask where that came from, I don't know. Anyways, yeah I am as prepared as I can get. Usually the phyiscal part isn't what you have to be the most prepared for. The hardest part is being mentally ready, and I can gladly say that I am mentally ready for this match. I have thought long and hard about what I am going up against, and what I will be accomplishing by being able to win this match, so though I know getting in there and doing it is what it is all about, you have to have a clear head, because the heart of the match is your thinking abilities. Anyone can brawl, but beating your opponent means outsmarting your opponent.

DGNR8: Very, very interesting. So let's move on to that Intercontinental Championship you hold. What does that mean to you?

The Badd Boy: Were you listening earlier?

DGNR8: No, actually I was uh...catching a bit of a nap. I heard them announce "The Badd Boy" was coming on, and I guess I was just tired, because I zonked out, now are you avoiding the question.

The Badd Boy: ...... no ..... Anyways, what the championship means to me is being the best the game has to offer. It takes a lot of heart and will power to be the best. You can really brag all you want to and let your ego just inflate as big as it can get all day. That doesn't do anything, but make you feel good about yourself, and make others think you are an @$$. You really have to be humble about what you earn and remember that holding a belt like this is an accomplishment but also a blessing, then when you get into the ring, you have to prove to the world why you have the belt around your waist. It isn't just something that is for decoration, it has a lot of significance, and that just can't be forgotten. It means a lot to me, it really does.

*The Badd Boy takes a drink of the water he was carrying.*

DGNR8: What if you were to lose?

The Badd Boy: *spits the wanter* *cough* *cough* *cough* a-hem! *clears throat*. What was that? I'm sorry did you say lose? No I'm just kidding, yeah losses are tough, but you have to be ready. I know that if I lose tonight that I am in a whole lot of trouble, because it is an important night. So really I can't think of that possibility too much though. It lingers, but it's like in life how we avoid death, we know it is there, but we have to play our own little games with it and do what we can to avoid it. One day it will catch me again I am sure, but I have a lot of tricks left up my sleeve, so I am going to keep doing what I can to be sure it doesn't get me. I'm looking to add another win, and I am in no hurry to add any more losses up to my record. That is for dang sure there Mr. D-G-N-R-8. Next question please.

DGNR8: You won the tag team championship of course with your partner the multi talented, wonderful, top of the line, one of the greatest superstars in our time Degenerate. How does being a double champion affect your role in the match?

The Badd Boy: Usually one wouldn't think that being one half of the tag team champions would have a significant role, but I think it does. If you can hold both a singles and a tag team championship at the same time, I believe that says you know how to handle yourself in the ring, because not only are you a double champion, and not only does just being a champion mean you are a top guy, but the tag team division is so much different than singles division so to master both it takes so much of yourself, of your time, and of your thoughts. It really comes down to ring smarts, and either you have got them or you don't, but I guarantee that if you don't you couldn't handle the task of being a double champion, and lucky for me I do have them. Now I know your final question, because it doesn't change often, but go ahead.

DGNR8: How do you know I won't switch it up.

The Badd Boy: I just do you'll want my final thoughts.

DGNR8: Uh...WRONG! I want to know....um....d@mn it....what are your...LAST thoughts that you have for Raptor to give us a summary.

The Badd Boy: Oye. Anyways, Raptor, welcome to round two, this is where the learning has ended, you know me, and I know you in that ring. We know what each other is capable of so it is time that we put it all on the line and go at it to learn who the better man is. Combining our in ring strengths, our abilities, and our ring smarts we will find out who deserves to be the Intercontinental Champion. For me though, I don't need to know who deserves it, I know that I do, that you don't even deserve this second shot at it. This is my pride and joy, and this is my night. It's time for me to prove why I am the Baddest man on the planet, and why I think you can just kiss my butt, because I will kick yours, and you will have a very Badd Day!

DGNR8: Now as we come to a conclusion here. I would like to have them replay you on David Letterman.

The Badd Boy: Oh you got that on tape do ya?

DGNR8: Yes quite entertaining role the clip.

*The clip starts with The Badd Boy sitting down next to David Letterman's desk and they are in mid conversation.*

The Badd Boy: So David, I know you do your top ten list everynight, but I was wondering if I could do my top five list tonight?

David: I don't see why not. We love to have our guests be interactive. What do you think Paul?

Paul: I think it would be great.

David: Well audience, what do you all think?

*The crowd cheers.*

David: Sounds like they like the idea, I guess production already has things set up. You want to give us a little introduction to what you are gong to be doing?

The Badd Boy: Sure, this is a little message to my opponent this Sunday at Whiplash, and this is my list of top five jobbers.

TOP FIVE JOBBERS

5

The Badd Boy: At number five we have Hollywood Hulk Hogan. The man that one time was a great superstar lately has just been used as a body for others to pin in the ring. He's been jobbing faster than than it takes Anna Nicole Smith to devour a seven course meal. A light snack for her I am sure.

4

The Badd Boy: Coming in at number four we have Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco. Known as the stooges, they are rarely heard from any longer, but you can guarantee these special jobbers were used just for the enjoyment for the fans. Brisco just looked stupid, while Patterson had a habit of ripping his shirt off showing his extensive pale white flab. You could only wonder why he is a single man.

3

The Badd Boy: Here at number three we have the Brooklyn Brawler. Relentless guy who is always ready to go out and fight in the ring. He just wants to be a winner so bad, that he would do anything. Problem was all he was good for was being walked on and jobbing.

2

The Badd Boy: Here coming close to the top at number two is GILLBERG! Who's next to pin this jobber and a half? Throw in a few extra blahs and stick your tongue out you have the toughest looking jobber that ever walked to the ring. If he didn't job before making it there he was a happy man.

1

The Badd Boy: That's right our number one jobber is RAPTOR! He is for this time, and this time only replacing Angelus Jobber the Jobber of Life, for fear he may cut out my non-existant spleen with a spoon, Raptor has been on a downward spiral for a while now. As he couldn't get the job done with Punisher, and he can't seem to pull it off with me, maybe he should step down to take on Wes or Dirty D. Those would be more fitting for him. I wish my opponent this Sunday a lot of luck, because he is going to need it.

*The Badd Boy and Letterman continue talking, but the clip ends as The Badd Boy and DGNR8 are standing there in front of the EMF camera.*

DGNR8: Great material there Badd Boy.

The Badd Boy: I appreciate it.

DGNR8: Well good ol' Badd One, I am off. So this is DGNR8 along with The Badd Boy signing off.

*They both give a thumbs up as the camera fades to black.*

The End
