I was named at birth Shoghig Boyajian. At my christening the priest named me Nishanouhi as it happened to be on St. Nishan's Day. I don't know what St. Nishan was sainted for. But I was never called either name. My Armenian name became Ahnahid for the last of the red hot all purpose Armenian goddess. For reasons public I became simply Ann.
