Lesley's opinion: i strongly support gays, lesbians, and bisexuals in general. I feel that they are not represented enough in society and it is going to be a long time before they are accepted in the community. The system and tradition is set up to model after a heterosexual or "straight" community: In the "normal" household you have the mother, the father, and the children. You have to think when the society is going to accept a household with the mother, the mother and the children or with two fathers. First and foremost though, I think its essential & positive to eliminate or deduce (since hate is always existent) the hate and prejudice towards gays (as well as other groups). Homosexuals have been despised, persecuted, and ostracized. Not for killing people (atleast not intentionally), not for commiting a crime...just for the simple fact of being gay which is, in many peoples eyes, a crime. Should the bible still reflect our views on homosexuality? even though time is changing should the primary beliefs still withstand the same? should gays be accepted as part of the community & be equal to straights? Its my time to stop talking and your turn to start talking....
