When we did this Peak, the film screwed up and we couldn't get it developed. The pictures will be from July 00. The text will be from August 00.

Note for Aug. 11, 00: The hike was easy and short. The route is easy to follow. As for the picture above, follow the ridge on the lower part of the mountain and follow it as it wraps around to the summit. Almost impossible to get off trail. If I were to climb it again I would do the North to South peak traverse to make the day more exciting.

Dates Summited -July 99(Kyle), July 5, 00(Kyle), August 11, 00 (Ian and Kyle)

Elevation -2670M(8760Ft)

Elevation Gain -1000M

Location - Kananaskis Lakes in Peter Lougheed Provincial Park

Aug. 11, 00- In this picture from the summit you can see into Hidden Lake (The smaller lake behind upper Kananaskis Lake) and into the Aster Lake region. Mt. Sarrail is the mountain hidden in the clouds, the middle peak of the three. The day after I took this photo, I attempted Mt Sarrail, but turned back due to the snow conditions, as you can see in the picture. If you decide to climb Sarrail make sure you get an alpine start because there are many Kilo's to get under your belt. The lone mountain to the right, in the background is Mt. Northover(I think). When the snow is gone from the Aster Lake Region you would probably be able to see Aster Lake from this picture. Right now it is covered in snow. The route to Aster Lake is currently unmaintained but is a great way to get away from the crowded areas.
