Note for Aug 15, 02: - After driving to the trailhead and hiking for ten minutes, I realized that I had forgotten my camera at the campground. No pictures today. We passed Chester Lake and hiked into the upper valley dividing The Fortress and Gusty. We reached the summit just after an hour from the valley bottom. Sunny day but rather "Gusty" :-)
