Note for Jan 29, 05: - Colin and I headed out to 2oClock falls last Saturday. We left RD at 7:00am and arrived at the trailhead by 10. The approach is nice and passes native ceremonial lodges en route. We arrived at the base within an hour and decided to stick to the right side of the falls. Shortly after, a guided group arrived and were very accomodating, setting up ropes on the left side. We did the climb in 3 pitches then walked down the left side through steep forest. This is an interesting route and offers alot of ice for WI2.

Date -Jan 29, 05

Grade - WI2 - 3 pitches

Height Gain -120m

Location - David Thompson Highway

20 mins from the highway you reach an open clearing, housed by ceremonial lodges. The flagging gives Nepali character to the Albertan environment and is a good place to stop before hiking uphill to the ice.

Looking up to the climb from the base. We stayed on the right side.

Looking across the valley from the top of pitch one. Sunny weather with a high of 1*C

2 O'Clock already?

Just about to twist one in

The falls has 3 or 4 sections like this followed by rambling ice in between. Taken on the hike back down.

After we hiked down we found this cave where we climbed in until we decided to hit the trail.
