Welcome To My World

The need for love is something we're born with. It's necessary to us as air to breathe, water to drink, food to eat... Without love in our life we aren't truly happy or complete.... Philosophers have argued through millenia about what love is and what it isn't, about how it came into existence and why we need it so much. There are stories of tragic, forbidden love, stories of illicit love, stories of unrequited love, stories of people laying down their lives to be loved or for the one that they loved. Love can move mountains, heal, kill, make peace or war.... Or at least that's what we're told.... The Greeks identified four kinds of love: phileo (brotherly love), eros ( erotic, sensual love), stergo (natural affection) and agape - the greatest, most sacrifical love of all.

God has cornered the market on the real definition of love, though. In fact, God says HE is love....God isn't keeping love all to Himself, though, or trying to keep us from understanding what love is. He describes it for us in I Corinthians 13 this way: love is long suffering and kind, love does not envy what another has, love isn't selfish or proud, love acts appropriately in every situation, love doesn't build itself up, love doesn't get angry easily, love believes the best about someone, love does not take pleasure in sin but loves the truth, love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things, love never fails... LOVE IS FOREVER

God wants us to realize where this love comes from - HIM (I John 4:8b) God is love. God's love for us is active (I John 4:8&9) God did not stand idly by and watch us suffer or apathetically allow us to condemn ourselves to hell through our rebellion against Him. Rather, He gave His Own Son as the Sacrifice for our sins so WE could be REDEEMED:) This is agape love in action. God created us for a relationship with Him (Genesis 1:27) He made us in His image so He could walk with us (Genesis 3:8) He walked with Adam and Eve in the cool of the day.... But sin separated us from Him and He hated it ! He gave Himself for us so we could be reunited with Him (II Corinthians 5:21) He became sin so He could take our sin from us and give us His righteousness, His holiness, His goodness, His purity.....

Romeo and Juliet killed themselves because they decided they couldn't live without each other, but God, in the form of Jesus Christ, gave up His life so we could live with Him forever!! God's love for us is overwhelming to even contemplate, like an onion with infinte layers that we'll never finish peeling because it never ends.... God's love is like an ocean that we can never measure because when it swallows you you'll never come to the surface, you'll just keep sinking inside it forever.... God's love fills up the hollowest part of you until you overflow, He wraps you in His arms and never lets you go..... God is the best Lover of all because He created love... Lose yourself in Him today.....
