FARF9876: Did you enjoy your first ever hosting tournament ?

Cyke0: despite heavy showers at registration time, the sun cleared up and it was a good day.

FARF9876: What will you do better if you host the tournament next time ?

Cyke0: Advertise more than a month ahead

FARF9876: Do you like the idea of hosting and playing at the same time?

Cyke0: no, i hosted it - i did not play that day.

Cyke0: hosting and playing conflict roles

FARF9876: How many people played there ?

Cyke0: total of 12 players arrived before 10am, 2 arrived late - they were not allowed to play. so only 12 players

FARF9876: What was the most common excuses they made for not showing up ?

Cyke0: there was a party hosted by the Student Body Government on friday night at a club - called "indulge", most complained that they were hung-over despite disc golf tourney being set up before "indulge" was announced

FARF9876: How many players did you assume for showing up for your tournament ?

Cyke0: i wanted more than 10 for i would break even. i had 12 - great, more money to spend on food to cook during halftime :o) free hamburgers and hotdogs were provided to the 12 enthusiastic competitors

FARF9876: Do you have any plan or heard any plan for 2nd tournament nearby at your area in MD, DC and VA ?

Cyke0: yeah, i will be hosting a tournament in sept - probably will be at college park again since most gallaudet students do not drive their own cars - once lottery day finish with gallaudet, i can announce when i will host disc golf tournament in sept - i am hoping for sept 15

FARF9876: Will you host at Calvert Park's disc golf course, Greenbelt-MD again ?

FARF9876: Did they heard about www.deafdiscgolf.com ?

Cyke0: they were informed after the tournament about another disc golf tournament in foxboro - i hope to see them there ;o) but as for the website - no, i failed to inform them of that - i should do that next time

FARF9876: What is your short and long term goal for deaf disc golf ?

Cyke0: short term - have another tourney in sept

Cyke0: long term - establish tournament every semester at gallaudet :-)

FARF9876: Any short comments would you like to add before we can wrap up this interview ?

Cyke0: I hope that there will be disc golf tournaments for the deaf other than the east coast :o) best of luck to those who wish to host more tournaments - thanks to eta psi chapter of delta sigma phi fraternity at gallaudet for helping me with this tournament.

FARF9876: What will you do with your homepage regarding of deaf disc golf that you made ? Should I keep your homepage on the newsletter for now ? Cyke0: why not - that way can revise it later when sept ready :-)
