I actually have a fear of deep water! So I decided to join a Scuba-Diving club to help me get over this fear! Although a member of the Scuba-Diving club at University I was never brave enough to actually go diving!
Not one to give up, I met up with Perth Scuba-Diving club. Before being allowed out in the sea you have to complete pool-training first. I went a few times and, although it took a bit of time to get used to being able to stay alive for so long under water(!), I actually quite enjoyed it! I was, however, useless when it came to "clearing the mask"!
In January 2002 I completed the BSAC Introduction to Diving Course. I would like to go back to diving but can't afford it just now!
