For those of you who are not exactly sure what this is, let me enlighten you! Micro-lighting is powered hang-gliding. I have flown twice - each time taking off from Perth Aerodrome. Take-off is incredibly scarey because it is extremely fast and steep and you are only held in the cockpit but a lap-belt, wear no parachute, and the cockpit has no sides to it so falling-out seems like a high possibility!
Once airborne it is extremely good fun, though hard-work on the arms when it comes to steering! (It's very windy up high!). I have flown over Meikleour (near Blairgowrie) and also over Methven/Fowlis Wester. As with all the sporty things I've tried I'd love to pursue this further!
