Motorsport is very good fun and seems to suit me well because I am very determined and also competitive!
I have raced a single-seater and an MGF at Knockhill (had good spins in both!) and I once won a kart-race at Knockhill! I have also been a passenger in a Sierra Cosworth Turbo being driven around Silverstone circuit at racing speed - very scarey at the corners!
In April 2004 I took part in the Super GP Series (Kart-Racing) Championships at Raceland, down the A1 just south of Edinburgh. Here I raced in a twin-engined kart, capable of 70mph! The speed of the kart took some getting used to - me spinning off about 5 times on one lap was evidence of this...!!
Thankfully things got better and at one point I was 4th!

June Round of SGP Series went VERY well for me - in-fact I got all the blokes talking because I LED a race for just over 4 laps (out of 8!)...I'm the only girl in the championship! When I was overtaken I got knocked onto the kerb and had to retire from the race due to damage to my kart! (Got a re-run however!).
I'm now sitting 29th out of 78 in the Championship and have been invited back to race in a special round on the 11th July for people in the top half of the championship only! VERY EXCITING!
