1996 Toyota Tercel (Blackhawk Ltd Ed)
1.5L I-4 16Valve DOHC 5E-FE
My name is Scott. The Tercel was given to me as a Toyota Certified used car in May of 1999. I started the modifications in March of 2000. I was and am still on a very limited budget, so I chose looks and style over performance. The engine and exhaust are competely stock right now.

(More pictures coming soon!!!)

The trunk as it looked originally when I bought it. The box is a prototype I used for the sub. The trunk was basically a tin can before I started the MDF fabrications. |

The trunk so far. I'm creating a box
for the amp so it sits flush, and a plexiglas cover with
a blue back light in the shape of the Kenwood symbol for
the cap enclosure (the carpet is flat black, it just
looks shiny from the camera flash). All the features of the amp and the crossover in the deck can be adjusted by the remote control (pictured). |
Kenwood eXcelon deck, Kenwood eXcelon 5 1/4" coaxials in doors, Kenwood eXcelon 6" coaxials in custom rear deck, Pheonix Gold wiring and 1/2 Farad capacitor in custom enclosure (trunk), Kenwood eXcelon 2-channel amp (bridged, over 300 watts) in custom amp rack (trunk), Kenwood eXcelon dB+ 12" subwoofer in custom sealed box and surrounding enclosure (trunk), custom access to spare tire with underwired custom built tool kit.
25 lbs of Dynamat layered over trunk lid and rear deck. 2 lbs of Roadkill sprayed over entire inside trunk.
A local shop wanted to charge me over $700 for the installation of just the custom trunk enclosures; instead I did everything myself.
Interior:
DEI Python alarm (with a bunch of custom shit so the stereo equipment - yes, even the speakers - can't be stolen, though I'm not saying how).
Custom black shift boot, TRD shift knob, TRD shoulder pads, TRD floormats
Future mods:
Kenwood eXcelon 4-channel amplifier
Mesh grille
White-face guages
New muffler and piping.
(New engine after school!)
