Key Notes: Mainly to guys but also for some girls: Flirting is a no no. If you truly value the person that you are dating, don’t go flirting with other people to “keep your option open” or to just “play around”. This will make your significant other very jealous and rightly so. This has caused so many problems in relationships. Just the suspicion of flirting can drive your significant other crazy. It makes them feel like they are doing something wrong. It also makes them think that you are looking around for somebody else. No matter what you say, you can’t argue that “I was just flirting and it means nothing, so don’t worry”. This is a lame excuse that every person on earth who goes around flirting uses. And if your girlfriend says that your flirting doesn’t bother her, think again (this goes for girls too). To everybody but more often for guys: When you start going out with a girl, you will start spending more time with her. No matter what, don’t forget about your friends. Friends are people who will be there with you through thick and thin. A relationship may go sour, but your friends, if you haven’t turned your back on them, will be there forever. Try bringing your significant other with you when you go out with your friends. Plus, this way your significant other can meet the people that you hang out with. But on a side note, if you have just started going out, don’t go hand around with a bunch of single buddies, it may be really uncomfortable for the girl and for you. Mainly to guys, but also for some girls: NEVER EVER, EVER FLIRT WITH YOUR FRIENDS GIRLFRIENDS WHEN THEY AREN’T AROUND! BIG MISTAKE FROM EVERY ASPECT! You can ruin the friendship in one second flat. For everybody: I know from experience: if your girlfriend tells you not to tell somebody something, no matter what it is, don’t tell. This should be fairly simple but I was stupid and screwed up with it. Don’t make the same mistake.
