Update from owner John on 10/20/02
Xena is doing well - a ball of energy but VERY sociable and lots of fun for the neighborhood kids and parents. Reba and she get along great - took about 3 days to settle in but now they are inseparable. Looks like we need to up the walking a bit as just yesterday she "developed" the habit of digging up Carol's flowers. What else - she's a great swimmer - just a bit overconfident as she tends to underestimate the strength of the current in the bayou (I had to pull her out twice). Also pushy with other dogs and 'her' toys. I walk her in the mornings with 2 Shelties + Reba and she is the one that "owns" the frisbee (it isn't even our frisbee). Won't bring it back in this game, she has to be the one chasing it and sitting on it so the others can't have it... Regardless she is settling in very well and we are all enjoying her company. Hope the other "kids" are doing as well as Xena.
Thanks for keeping in touch and hope life is generally good. We see a bit of the compulsive 'herding' behavior in her that your blue merle showed around chasing her own splashes in the water. Interesting!
