Update from owner, Keelia on 3/3/03
Striper is really coming along.. We still haven't found a trainer anywhere near us. I emailed the Texas Sheepdog people but they weren't very helpful. So we're just muddling along as best we can. He went the other day with Rick to another ranch and helped worm 200 goats. Everyone said he was a big help. I don't know how good at trial he'd be but he's a BIG help to us! He even gets to sleep inside....That's a high priviledge around here. He's also Shannon's very BEST friend and they play hide and seek all of the time. He's really perfect. He's good bringing in our cow.. forceful with just enough grip...but perfectly gentle with the little goat kids and lambs .. and never gripped a chicken. He has a lot of his mama in him ..lots of eye. but can also be aggressive at the right time. We call him the psychic puppy.
Striper had a great time at his first birthday party!! He had meatloaf pie with cream cheese frosting and Shannon had him wear her purple tutu... A good time was had by all.
Baby Striper
Striper is a white factored black tri border collie with a wavy/ curly coat like his great-grandpa Stetson. He was born July 5. 2002. His father is Champion Alamar's Spur and mother is Alli Cat both black tri. The pictures above are at 8 weeks and below 3 weeks old.
