PAULO CELANI was born in Rio, where he got his Agriculture Engeneering degree
at the Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro - UFRRJ, in 1983.

In 1984 moved to the city of São Gotardo at the state of Minas Gerais,
where worked as a manager of a Vegetable Seed Production Company.

In may, 1986, started having the feeling of flying every night on his bed before sleeping. 
No Engine, no wings. Just the feeling of floating in the air. Few months later, 
on a vacation in Rio, started his hang gliding lessons and got  his license in 3 weeks.
Life changed completely from that moment on.

In 1989 quited his job and started doing the flights professionaly, having tourists and, 
specialy, crew members of airlines like Lufthansa, KLM, American Airlines, United 
Airlines and British Airways as his main clients.

Having safety and quality as his priorities, Paulo Celani has made over
6.000 tandem flights with people from all over the world, including members of 
The Manchester United Football Team, the Pop Group Jamiroquai and
George Michael, the Singer.

Paulo Celani has participated on the following TV Shows:
The Amazing Race 2 in Rio (January, 2002) as the main Hang Gliding Coordinator and
Supervisor for the the whole hang gliding operation for the show.
"Where in the World is Matt Lauer", may, 13th, 2002, flying in Rio with Mrs. Mary Ann Zoellnr.
The Lonely Planet Travel Show flying with Ian Wright, the presentor.
The Yorin Travel (April,2002) - Holand Travel Show flying with Ms. Chimène V. Oosterhout.

Paulo Celani is married and has 2 kids: Lucas, 9 years old and Felipe, 3 years old.
