First Birthday

We survived Ryan's first birthday. And spent . . . more than we thought we would. There was a moon jump, pizza, catered Filipino food, a pinata, and a pony and horse. I can't believe we got a horse, but we did. It was a nice added attraction for the kids. Too bad Ryan was too sleepy to enjoy it.

Sadly, though, we will not be throwing as big of a bash for our second child's first birthday. We learned our lesson. We're getting pizza and that's it!

Work

Ever since we started the electronic medical record in clinic, I no longer get to leave by 4:30pm. IT truly has slowed me down. Plus, we have to transfer hard chart information to the patient's computer chart on our free time.

I seldom eat lunch.I work through lunch or munch in front of my computer. There is never a time where I don't have something to do. I work on updating charts, refilling meds, filling out patient forms, etc.

But such is life. It truly isn't terrible.

talkers

One of the physician assistants who has a office across the hall from me certainly talks a lot. I hear every conversation she has on the phone or with the student she is working with. I feel like shutting my door, but it may be misconstrued as rude. I never have time to yak on the phone or talk as much as she does.

Basically, I'm just in a complaining mood today . . .
