Welcome to the Cheonkido site on the web.
There are many who teach and very few who understand what it is all about. Many students leave their class session without a firm understanding of what they were taught .
In the martial arts, everyone wants to become a good instructor but without accurate knowledge your teaching is limited. Let’s agree many went their separate ways and formed their own art under different names before having a firm understanding of how to teach .
Master Tong Su Lee started teaching in the USA in 1975 and did not want to get caught up in the spill over of Korean Martial art politics here in the States, so he developed teaching the art of Cheonkido very different than others and they're teaching style. He believes in individual growth. He once said to me, " Each one of us accomplishes by instinct and individual ability." The circle of knowledge serves each student on a individual level of growth.
Our aim is to teach, discuss, and learn about Cheonkido. There is so much to know and learn for Cheonkido is endless.
Over the years Universe Cheonkido Martial Arts Allies grew and developed to what it is today.
