Delta Force Veterans Ethics

The Delta Force Veterans members are people who enjoy the true spirit of gaming, gaming, and more gaming. The following is a guideline for prospective members. The list is not “all inclusive”, so when in doubt, use common sense. If that doesn’t work, ask somebody.

  • 1.
  • Cheating – At no time will a member of DFV cheat in a public or team challenge game. This includes the use of trainers(DFLW) or any other modifications made to the game program that would give you an advantage over other players, excluding your own skill, of course. The use of “Glitches” is not technically cheating, however, it’s highly discouraged. Most of our map designers will attempt to correct glitches when constructing, but there are always a few to slip by.

  • 2.
  • Language – Since most online games are all-ages, typing foul language should be kept to a minimum. DFV has taken steps to limit the age of our team members. This allows us to fully express ourselves on Rogerwilco without parental intervention.

  • 3.
  • Name tags – Screen names are to be kept in good taste. No further explanation necessary. You may change you screen name as often as you like, just tell everyone so we know who you are. Impersonating other players on DFV or any other team, without the expressed written consent of the person, is forbidden.

  • 4.
  • Age – DFV members are to be at least 20 years of age to avoid potential problems.

  • 5.
  • Attendance – Play as often as you can, there is no requirement for attendance. If you make a commitment, such as a team match or tournament, please try to follow through. Inform other members if you need to change plans.

  • 6.
  • Servers – Support your game hosts. Expressing negative opinions on game types, maps, etc., should not be done by typing on the screen in a public game. Please contact the server on either ICQ or Rogerwilco to discuss suggestions for improvement. If you think you can do a better job, let’s see it.

  • 7.
  • Perspective – Remember, this is just a game. Try not to become enraged by other players, even if they cheat. We will take steps to minimize problems with other players. Don’t neglect you family or work for the sake of a game. Enjoy making new friends online, not enemies.
