This car was bought in 1982. Two months later it was hit by a person who ran a stop sign. The body shop that repaired the vehicle did a less than perfect repair on the fender. They had a complete fender and instead of repairing at the seam they chose to create a slice part way up the roll support. STUPID. By the time I saw it, it was too late. I was furious. They never got it blended properly and couldn't match the gold paint. This resulted in a custom paint job. I paid $400 for the paint job back around 1984.
The car is currently in storage and needs minor body repair (I will have a completely new paint job) and major mechanical overhaul.
I recently purchased a 1979 X which I plan on restoring at the same time as the 80.
