My Auto Biography

My name is Vincent Reilly and I was born on March 17, 1986 in Middletown, New York. I lived in Wurtsboro, NY for the first five years of my life, then I moved to Eldred, NY and enrolled in Eldred Central School district. Presently I'm a seventeen year old senior.

Those who know me think of means a hardworking individual, smart, athletic, and funny. On the other hand, people that don't really know me judge me on the fake persona I project, which is not their fault it is my own, but they think that I'm a tough guy, or that I'm rude. I do not blame them for this assumption but, I feel that they would think differently if they were to get to really know me.

A major part of my life is sports, I enjoy playing sports for my school and my family.I play two varsity sports for my school , Football, and Baseball. My main sport is football, because football is an all year sport with me. Besides the season which is very intense and requires a lot of commitment, I weight lift year round and run to keep in shape. Football has been a major part of my life since it has dictated my daily life for the past four years now. In the off season I take in high amounts of carbohydrates and protein to try and gain weight, this allows me to gain muscle mass for the season.

During football season I play running back and linebacker, this is known as iron man football, when your forced to play offense and defense which requires a great deal of conditioning. I started playing running back in my junior year due to injuries with the starting running back, and I've been the starter ever since. In my junior, year I rushed for 1,087 yards along with Kyle Schneider who also had over a thousand yards, which set a new school record for two running backs to have over a thousand yard rushing season. At the end of the season, my team voted me MVP , and the coaches of section 9 voted me on the ALL-SECTION team. This was a great honor, receiving the most valuable players award from my teammates, and being selected to the all section team.

In the spring, though not as serious as football, I play baseball but this sport is mainly to keep me in shape for football. Baseball to me is a game, I'm not really to good at it, even though I had the highest batting average on the team. The reason for my lack of talent on the baseball field, might be due to the fact that my junior year was the first year that I played baseball since I was in sixth grade.

In addition to sports, I also spend a lot of time thinking about my future. My future ambition in life is to become a police officer, I would prefer to begin as state trooper to begin with then I would like to try and move up in the ranks, to reach this goal I'm going to attend a four year university and get my major in criminal justice, and police science. While I'm in college I want to play football, on the division III level. One of the schools I'm considering is Wilkes University, because they offer a good criminal justice program, and they have a football team that I could join.

After college I'm debating wether or not to go into the marines as an officer (you can do that if you've graduated from college) and become a military police officer. After my years in the service I would have a bit of an edge on the competition trying to get into the police force.

Throughout my life I've made some choices that I regret, I now find myself in my senior year of high school, not with the grade point average I want, with out the class ranking I have hoped for, it seems so simple, just four measly years to determine a major step in your life, and now I wished that all the fooling around I did I could take back. Even though I have regrets, I still had a fun four years in high school and to succeed in life IÕm going to have to buckle down in college and push myself to achieve the goals I have set, and hopefully, I will be on my way to a successful and happy life.
