After countless mockups by imbeciles (myself included), Nintendo has finally unveiled it's 'revolutionary' controller at the Tokyo Game Show (TGS). Although when I first saw it, and thought it looked bland, I now feel that it will function really well. My initial concern was an obvious lack of an analogue stick, and this is because the Revolution Controller simply has a gyroscope assembly, so if you were in a shooting game you could simply point where you wanted to aim and then shoot, or in a racing game you could just twist your wrist to steer. For games that wouldn't be so well suited to this one-handed arrangement, Nintendo has also develope an add-on for the other hand which features an analogue stick and two trigger buttons, essentially converting it back into a traditional controller. I'm pretty impressed! ![]()
Nintendo Revolution Controller OK, so it isn't the real deal, but I think it could well look like this. It's a mock-up I made on paint, hope you like it!
Current Forum Status. As you may be well aware, the cubemods forum has recently undergone a major rearrangement. It is now easier to navigate and not only includes GameCube mods, but also any other mods members may have done, so please join in and talk about games, PC's, mods or anything else! Nintendogs US Release Date Approacing. Information Genre: Simulation Format: US Players: 1 Release Date (US): August 22nd The highly anticipated puppy simulation is finallly coming to the Nintendo DS in English. Nintendo's highly popular virtual pet game has sold phonomenally well in Japan and the rest of Asia, and very shortly people in America will be able to interact with virtual puppies like never before. Forget tamogotchi, Nintendogs is an all out simulation. Use the touch screen to stroke and wash your pet, play games with it and take it for a walk around the block, where it can interact with other Nintendogs from other DS systems. You can even have 3 pets at once, so if you are nowhere near another Nintendogs owner you can still let your puppies interact with each other. Although I live in England, I will definately be getting the US version as, of course, the DS is multi region, so preorder now on Lik-Sang for one of the fairest prices around. ::SITE UPDATE:: I have recently made yet another concept image of the GBA2, this model features far more detail than it's predecessor and when it is printed out in real size you can easily see how small it is compared to the old model, but it is still large enough to fit a GameCube disc in! ::SITE UPDATE:: Well, not so much a site update as general news, but I am now a conceptual artist for an upcoming (and very interesting) online PC game called The Legend Of Anariv, to see the first screens, and eventually mine (under conceptual artist) please visit XYLIGO SOFTWARE This is my first drawing:
::SITE UPDATE:: Part of the Revolution section is now completed, meaning that the basics of the site are practically complete, but still to be done is the technical specifications for other consoles, and picture galleries, plus other slight enhancements. Please be patient- the site is nearing completion! ::SITE UPDATE:: The Nintendo DS section is now done- including technical specifications, but as of yet no image gallery. ::SITE UPDATE:: The GameCube mods gallery is now up and running, if you have any GameCube mods please post them on my forum and I will put the best in the gallery. ::SITE UPDATE:: The GameBoy Micro section has now been added, but no image gallery as of yet, next up to be created is the Nintendo DS section, so please be patient. |
