Danse Macabre Four

...Self-sacrifice enables us to sacrifice other people without blushing...

...The belief in a supernatural source of evil is not necessary; men alone are quite capable of every wickedness...

...He who does not punish evil commands it to be done...

...We fear things in proportion to our ignorance of them...

...A great pleasure in life is doing what people say you cannot do...

...All people have fears, but the brave put down their fears and go forward, sometimes to death, but always to victory...

...People say 'I want peace'. If you remove I {ego}, and your want {desire}, you are left with peace...

...The less you open your heart to others, the more your heart suffers...

...They may forget what you said, but they will never forget how you made them feel...

...It is better to die on your feet than to live on your knees...

...One cannot and must not try to erase the past merely because it does not fit the present...

...Don't be afraid your life will end; be afraid that it will never begin...

...It is the individual who is not interested in his fellow men who has the greatest difficulties in life and provides the greatest injury to others. It is from among such individuals that all human failures spring...

...It is a man's own mind - not his enemy or his foe that lures him into evil ways...

...For me the moment of death will be a moment of jubilation, not of fear. I cried when I was born and I shall die laughing..

...The very search for pleasure is the cause of pain...

...I am now the most miserable man living. If what I feel were equally distributed to the whole human family, there would be not one cheerful face on earth. Whether I shall ever be better, I cannot tell. I awfully forebode I shall not. To remain as I am is impossible. I must die or be better it appears to me...

...Only fools say they know everything and fear nothing...

...Do not fear to be eccentric in opinion, for every opinion now accepted was once eccentric...

...Christ died for our sins. Dare we make his martyrdom meaningless by not committing them?...

...This would be the best of all possible worlds if there were no religion in it...

...in the game of life, there always seems to be an acception to the rules...

...A man is not finished when he is defeated. He is finished when he quits...

...People may doubt what you say, but they will believe what you do...

...There was never a genius without a tincture of insanity...

...Destiny is not a matter of chance; but a matter of choice. It is not a thing to be waited for, It is a thing to be achieved...

...No words, no talk.
We'll go dreaming

No pain, no hurt.
We'll go dreaming

Walk with me,
The future's at hand
. Here with us,
Here where you stand.
We both know the power of pain,
We get back up and start it again.
With new hope, no place for tears,
Leave behind those frozen years.
Come with me and the dream....

Danse Macabre: A moment for retardando...

"For every vision there is an equal and opposite revision" -- Unknown

-=-...tick tock Vincent, tick tock. The time of wait is slowly dwindiling and with each ticking second that passes the time of which you and my angelical lover step into the ring comes closer and closer. My childe, when I look to you, I see what my lover used to be. I see a man that cares for the fans and all those that support him and think of him for being this great, compassionate being. That is, until he finally has to do what it is needed to win a match and in that very moment, all those that applauded him begin to chant against him and find someone new to praise. See Vincent, you've talked about how you're on the edge, how you're one to live for the fix of adrenaline that only wrestling can provide you with, yet you say my lover needs this business and that he is truly the one that lives for it. Funny isn't it Vincent that you once again are contradicting yourself and walking backwards into a corner that this time, there is no escape route out of. There's no little hatch you can stumble upon that will allow you a passage out of harms way anymore. You're no longer a child in the eyes of the world although you sitll are a childe in my eyes and those who know what this business truly is all about. They say that before one makes it to the big time, he has to pay his dues, that he has to break a few bones and go into the hospital for surgery just once before he begins to understand what it's all about. You've yet to experience any of that Vincent, but don't worry my childe, soon, that will all change for you...-=-

-=-...Mr. Gallow, this is my lover against you. Chaos against Vincent Gallow. No sins. No acts of god. Simply one soul facing off against another, but what you still live in fantasy about is the fact you will match Chaos for everything he has and beat him. You say move wise, you can't match him.. but the harder he pushes is the harder you'll push back to come out on top and shock the world. That's a very hefty thing to say there Vincent... for someone that's only been wrestling for two months, how can you be sure you can match up adrenaline wise with a man that's made this his living for years on end? Yes Vincent, I and everyone else knows now that you're a junkie for adrenaline and that you simply need that on-going rush to survive the week. We all know that you live for the pain in the ring even though you say you pay for it that next day as you wake up with pain shooting all through out your body. The thing is Vincent, you're nothing special... you're not some brand new breed that thrives on pain. To tell you simple scientific truth, the human body ignores pain aslong as adrenaline and endorphins are running through the bloodstream and over riding the nerves of the human body. So for all the talk you banter on and on about of being new, of being some type of wrestler that has never been seen before, you're proving yourself to be yet another off the cuff rookie with a chip on his shoulder...-=-

-=-...the ebon cloak slowly pulls away so show Chaos sitting down infront of a television in which is playing the recent promo of one Vincent Gallow. Smirking here and there, Chaos holds a notepad in his lap, jogging down notes of what Vincent has said or stated throughout the promo. As the promo comes to an end, Chaos simply sighs with a shake of his head and speaks softly...-=-

Chaos: This is it, isn't it Vincent? In just a few hours you're going to have to cross the threshold and stand in a ring with a man you claim lives for wrestling and belives it to be real. See Vincent, I con't "believe" in wrestling like some young fans do. I've long grown out of the phase of fantasy in which I was led to believe everything that was told to me by a parent or a loved one was simply real and there was no doubting that word. Now Vincent, I am simply a man that embodies what the darkness in life is. I stand before you a man that has taken every feasable conceptual idea of what the true meaning of the sin lust is, and turned it into a mantra to live by. Quite frankly my childe, I am the one man you wish to never step into a ring against. I saw you earlier Vincent, you go around to some hospital and give them all pity for having a disease. Vincent, if no one gave you pity growing up... and no one gave me pity growing up... why should we give pity unto others?

-=-...Chaos moves away from the mirror and makes his way to the leather couch in the locker room. Sitting down, the sound of leather being stretched fills up the room as Chaos flicks his head back, sending curl after curl of hair out of his face. Closing his eyes gently, Chaos licks his lips...-=-

Chaos: Pity my dear Vincent is something we should never have to feel for anyone. If someone had felt pity for you those years ago when you were growing up, do you think you'd be in this ring right now about to wrestle the dark angel? Of course you wouldn't Vincent because your life would've gone down another path then it is going down right now. If someone had shown you compassion and taken you into their home, you wouldn't be going to this hospital and that hospital... you wouldn't be telling me about how you've only wrestled for two months and all these matches. Vincent, for some reason or another, I was brought into your life through events that neither of us will be able to clearly see until our little game is over. I am the measuring stick you have to stand up against to see if you're just big enough to continue on through and enter the ride of your life. All this time Vincent, you've gone from side-show to side-show, picking up win after un-checked win because no one seemed to take you seriously and it showed in that ring. I've told it to you before, you're just another rookie with a streak of luck going for him at this moment. Now, don't misconstrue my words Vincent.. I don't fear you, nor do I feel you have what it takes to beat me in the ring. I do however, see you as a man that on this night has the tools to defeat me, but alas, you're still trying to figure out what tools it is you have and until you can make out just what tools those are, you won't defeat me Vincent. I'm a man that has taken this business seriously for aslong as I've been a part of it and to see you, some less than senseless thing make a mockery out of this business and paint it as something anyone can jump into and later jump out of is unsettiling.

-=-...opening his eyes, Chaos doesn't stand up, simply he lets out of another soft sigh and places his hands behind his head for support. Staying quiet for just a few moments more, Chaos does indeed finally stand up and makes his way towards his locker. Opening it up, Chaos reaches out and grabs his trademark black trenchcoat and slides it on over his body. Now clad in a form fitting crimson shirt, black slacks, black boots and his trench, Chaos makes his way to the mirror once more to adjust anything that is out of place. Smirking, Chaos turns away from the mirror to face the camera...-=-

Chaos: I've done all of this out of my own volition Vincent? I set myself up for a loss the moment I laid my hands upon you Vincent? For someone so young and green, you talk as if you've been in this business for years and are a grizzled veteran that knows the in's and out's of this business like the back of your hand. What you fail to truly understand is that in this game we're playing Vincent, you don't know what's to come next. You surely thought that I'd try to attack you after what you did to me on Mayhem, didn't you Vincent? You were setting yourself up for my jumping from no where to attack you... yet, I didn't, did I? If I did, I would have been playing into your hand and allow the power of this game to shift into your hands and out of mine, which is something I simply refuse to do. Vincent, I've been in this game far too long to allow an upstart to have his way and take control of any situation that I've allowed myself to enter. All of what's been going on Vincent, I've allowed. Do you think I honestly care about wins and losses when it comes to little shows like Mayhem's or anything else? Not in the slightest Vincent. What I do care about is the big picture, I care about how I perform on the Holy Sabbath night that all lights are turned up to that extra notch and to steal an idea from a classic film.. the stereo level goes from ten, to eleven. I'm what you would call a big game player. My true colors are shone brightest when it counts and tonight, it counts Vincent. Tonight is a night where I take you to the place you will never exit from..

-=-Making his way to the door of his locker room, Chaos stops and looks the door up and down. Smiling to himself, Chaos opens the door but doesn't exit the locker room just yet. As he looks into the hall, Chaos takes just one step but picks up where he last left off...-=-

Chaos: You said it earlier as did I. A door stands before both you and I that upon crossing through will transport us into a zone that only you and I will truly know about. On one hand, you step into a plane that you never knew could exist in a mortal while I step into something that is nothing more than a comfort zone for me. For my entire life, I've been able to shut out everything outside of me to focus on the internal and tonight is just another practice of that as I find myself having to unclutter my mind and focus on but one thing. I've heard all the talk in the back about how I'm a step slower then usual.. that my being one-upped by you on Mayhem is a sign of the times that I need to simply retire and unlace the boots. Tonight will tell me if I need to finally listen to the advice of others or if it'll prove that what they say is nothing more then words said out of fear for they know once I disspose of you, I'll move on and focus against them. Mr. Gallow, the ticking of time slipping away is all that I can hear and every tick brings me closer to staring into your eyes before the match starts. Do not disappoint me and not step up to all that you've talked about this week. In closing Vincent, just know that tonight will forever change us...

-=-...and with that, Chaos exits his locker room and walks down the hall as the scene fades to black...-=-

...I chose the long hard path
I'm wandering
In self-denial for so long I bled
To find the truth in all I say and do
My darkest hour
I'm upon the suicide wall
Still I condemn myself
Look for the answer now
All I've denied myself
Kill me
In the end you know I'll live again...
