What is Communism? A classless society with no exploitation. No state machine used by one section of the population to oppress another section. No need for professional armies or police forces. No use of production for profit or exchange.
What? No professional armies? I agree with this to an extent. The need for no professional armies has its pros and cons, its basically a matter of opinion whether you agree with this or not.
The "Other" definition of Communism. This is probably the definition the average person would give you. It's not their fault that this is what they believe Communism is. They were told to believe this. The rule of society by a single party which has a monopoly of political power and "disbands" all opposition.
What is Socialism? A society run by the working class rather than the bourgeoisie. The state machine is used to defend working class interests against those who still have wealth or power and who will attempt to return society to the capitalist system and bourgeois rule. Socialism is the period of transition between the overthrow of bourgeois rule and the development of a classless, communist society.
The "Other" definition of Socialism. Society in which the ruling bourgeoisie slightly betters the conditions of life of the working class and oppressed, through such measures as slightly higher taxation of the capitalists.
Interesting Ideas and Knowledge. -True Communism had never existed. -All Communists are Socialists, however not all Socialists are Communists. -The "Smurfs" were a Communist society. -I believe that Communism first came about tens of thousands of years ago in hunter-gather tribes.

Newer things I add will be found on the latest page I added. My View On Palestine. I don't want to sound like a terrorist, but I see the attacks in Israel sort of justified. Israel came into their land and forced them to move. The Palestinians have the right to attack Israel. I don't think they are necessarily terrorists, but they are not exactly freedom fighters. Israel should just let the Palestinians have their land back. Think about it this way. Canada is given the right to have the northern part of the US. Now I would be a little angry having to move to the south. I'd be angry that Canada came in and took my land. No Blood For Oil The US continues the unjustified war in Iraq. They overthrew the great dictator Saddam Hussein. The US liberates Iraqis by killing them. Once again the US destroys a 3rd world nation. Every time a 3rd world nation produces weapons to defend itself the US gets all up in it. Will the US ever stop the murder?, we will never know... I'm beginning to think that the war in Iraq is not for oil after all. I'm beginning to think that this country likes to shed blood. Iraq didn't even have WMD so why did the US even have to get involved. No Democracy in Iraq! It is not up to the US to choose Iraq's government. If Iraq wants to be an Islamic Fundamentalist then let them. It is their country, let them decide.
Think about it... We went into Iraq to liberate the Iraqis right? Because Saddam was killing innocent people. In the US innocent people die. Why aren't we helping ourselves. Screw Iraq. Let them deal with their own problems. People in the Middle East have been fine for thousands of years. They are fine now. But if they US keeps interfering we're only annoying them.
Not Even Democracy. The US goes around preaching about democracy when we are not a democracy. This is a hypocrisy. The US should practice what they preach. Or is the US practicing what they preach after all. According to "What Uncle Sam Really Wants" by Noam Chomsky, Democracy is run by the business elite and the people are just "spectators." The people are allowed to agree with and side with officials in government affairs, but they are not allowed to participate. Democracy and Freedom don't go in the same sentence!
