Sarkis Sends Word...The Role Of Monsters...

Baneguard Joins The Republic Of Khazaon!!!

Near Mt. Khazaon, Uthgol:

Bae'Lin the Minotaur, leader of the Republic of Khazaon, closed a deal with Kravion of Baneguard, where Baneguard would become a mutual part of The Republic. Please note, that Baneguard is still a separate clan. I'll let Bae'Lin's scratchings speak for itself:

"Let it be known that there has been a joining in Uthgol. The peaceful clans of Banegaurd and The Republic have joined under the Banner of The Republic Of Khazaon.

Two clans striving for the elimination of Humans in Uthgol and hoping for a peaceful life.

As always the Republic of Khazaon is a neutral grouping of monsters...The joining of Banegaurd to our ranks changes nothing in our structure or ideals.

One Monster, One Vote....So Lives The Republic Of Khazaon..."

This reporter also had the chance to speak with Bae'Lin, here's what he said, "It was a great day for The Republic of Khazaon when we introduced our first city-state, Banegaurd. We have taken the first steps towards a united, more peaceful Uthgol." He continues, "With the joining of Baneguard under the Banner Of The Republic, we have expanded the voice of monsters so they may have more control over their futures."

Unfortunately, at the time of writing Kravion of Baneguard was unavailable for comment, but his second in command, Dasverl the Ogre, was available and he had this to say: "I think that this could be a very favorable joining, hopefully making The Republic stronger and more prosperous. I look forward to all relationships developed from it."

Grunt Uprising Threatens Sanctity Of Grendel's Shrine

Breaking News, Grendel's Shrine, Uthgol:

The Grunt Holding Pen outside of Grendel's Shrine was the sight of great turmoil today. The misplaced grunts, either lost or forgotten by their former masters, revolted today causing disarray out side the shrine. Skeletons, Harpies, and Goblins united even against their racial differences to stop the cruel treatments of grunts everywhere.

The organized mob moved from the holding pen to the steps of the Shrine, where they shouted obscenities and blasphemies at all who would listen.

Said a Scarab who wished to remain nameless,"There I was, having a drink at the Shrine, getting ready to leave, when BAM!!! A rock flew in from the entrance there and cracked my shell!!!"

A few Monsters inside the Shrine assembled into a small force to beat back the gathering, but ended up being forced back into the Shrine by the swelling mass of grunts.

Finally, after fifteen excruciating minutes the uprising was quelled when the Uthgol Police Force showed up in full riot gear. Marching in from the south and east, they pushed the revolting grunts back into their pen outside of the Shrine. Upon doing so, the Police Force surrounded the pen, covered it with a burning potion, and lit the pen on fire.

There were no Police injuries, but every last one of the grunts in the uprising was burned to a crisp. Grendel was said to award favor to those officers who set fire to the pen.

Uthgol, Home Of The Flying Troll?
Breaking News, Uthgol:
Awestruck Uthgolians stared blankly into the skies as a score of Trolls flew over the shrine today in a wedge formation. The group, known simply as the Fliers of Uthgol, or F-U, put on an aerial show unlike none other ever seen in Uthgol. The Humanoids, once tethered to the ground, seemed to have come across a new "flying potion," which allows them to defy gravity and perform acrobatic aerial maneuvers. Said one dumbfounded observer,"I cannot believe my own eyes...How can those Humanoids do that!!!" The observer, a fair looking phoenix, stormed off, obviously troubled by the fact that he now had to share the skies with another race.

Another observer, a tall, muscular Minotaur smiled as he watched. "They aren't to bright, but damn if they don't put on a good show. And just think, Humanoids flying...that oughta ruffle a few feathers!!!" He gave a loud laugh and slapped me on the back almost knocking this reporter right on his face.

FU spokestroll Dinwiddie Banwiddle spoke to this reporter shortly after his show. This is what he had to say, "Too long Trolls been on the ground, we now fly like birdies and clouds. Is nice up there, but bad when fall. Grablock broke head first time he tried, not fly again. F-U Forever!!!"

Seems as if the friendly skies of Uthgol will never be the same...
