English 10 is mostly a reading class. We read many historic poems.. Barely ever do we use the literature book. If we read a story it's usually in book a packet.

We read Huckleberry Finn. This book took a long time to read with all of the assignments. After every chapter we had to do a class discussion and usually a worksheet. After each chapter we had a quiz, the quiz was about 10 questions each. We had helping groups. The helping groups were to help us pick up on information we may have skipped or not noticed. We usually met in the groups about two times a week. After we finished the book we took a long test on the entire book. The paper that we wrote on it was long and also took a long time. We wrote it in steps. We first got some ideas, then wrote a rough draft and then wrote a final paper. |
