..::Rob Van Dam::.. Why the fuck are we walking around on a night like this for gods sake!
..::A man::.. We couldn't get the limo, Mr. Dam. It was all arranged but you know. Shit happens...
..::Rob Van Dam::.. HA. Hardly. Don't give me that lame ass excuse. I'm supposed to be at the arena in fifteen friggin' minutes for my first interview. Now, can you get me a ride, NOW!
{The man pulls out his cell phone and eyes around the jet black night sky. He dials an array of numbers that puts him in touch with a cab service. He arranges a pick up point and gives him is credit card number. The phone is then snapped shut and conceled. Rob and the man walk three blocks to wait for the cab, which is fashionably late.}
..::Rob Van Dam::.. It's about fuckin time man. Where have you been?
..::Cab driver::.. Yo man, I've just been crusing with some beautiful women, if ya know what I'm getting at my man!
..::Rob Van Dam::.. I get ya, but I'm tring to get to the arena man. Take me there fast, I'm sure my little roadie here has already given you my money...?
{At that the cabbie smiled and nodded, glancing at this other man in the car with a business suit and look as if someone crapped under his nose and he was just trying to smell it. He sped off into the black night as the water recollected in the puddle. About eight minutes later, they screech to a halt outside the arena. Rob walks away with his gym bag leaving this man behind. He opens the blue double doors and proceeds to the locker room. He is getting ready for his interview with Good Ole' JR}
..::Rob Van Dam::.. Hey, you. Should I dress up for this thing with JR? or what?
..::The man::.. I'm sorry, Rob. I'm not sure.
..::Rob Van Dam::.. It's Mr. Dam, to you asshole. Now throw me my shorts.
{After dressing up, Rob Van Dam and his 'sidekick' walk down the hall and enter a door where Jim Ross is sitting down waiting for Rob. He is wearing a black shirt with 'GWE' enbroidered into the upper left side of his chest. He has a clipboard and cameras facing him and one facing an empty brown chair fold-out chair. Jim beckons him to sit and he does as the man watches, not taking an eye off Rob}
..::Jim Ross::.. Welcome Rob Van Dam to the Global Wrestling Entertainment. You have a match on the 27th of April. A four way match against Kevin Nash, Edge, Jeff Hardy, and yourself. How do you feel about this?
..::Rob Van Dam::.. Well JR. First off I want to say, thanks to the 'GWE' for picking me up off the streets and letting me wrestle. But thats right. I can't wait for next weeks Pay-Per-View. The energy here is high and everyone is excited.
..::Jim Ross::.. Yes indeed. Now the match. Your the first match in the 'GWE' history. After the ceremony you four will battle in what will be an amazing match to say the least. Your thoughts.
..::Rob Van Dam::.. I'm actually wild about starting this. I mean I've been a lot of places in wrestling. I started in WCW then went to ECW back in the late 90's and then I went to the World Wrestling Federation and wrestled but I feel amazed in putting my talent out here. To be in the first match in 'GWE' history is one thing but winning the match is another. I wanna be the first winner in 'GWE' history. Thats all I want. What is great here is the competition. Egos are checked, the past is the past, it's a clean slate here. I've done great things in my past and I've had quite a following and had many fans and some of these superstars here are my friends for my past. I've won gold, I was a 2 time TV Champ in ECW, and 3 time Hardcore champ and 2 time Intercontinental champion in the WWF. I'm not about the gold, I'm about the respect and I want the people to respect me and my abilities in the ring.
..::Jim Ross::.. What do you want to bring to the 'GWE' that you may have brought to the WCW, ECW, or WWF, that maybe you have or haven't brought before?
..::Rob Van Dam::.. Well Jim. I entertained while kicking ass in ECW and WWF. What I loved about ECW was it being so fucking real. I mean thats where I got my name...'THE WHOLE F'N SHOW'. I brought ECW what it needed, pure hardcore wrestling. WCW and WWF were for pussies compared to ECW. I wanna bring back that to the 'GWE'. I dont want corporate wrestling, I dont want titles to overshadow the athletic ability or entertainment values. I never won the World title in WWF or ECW. I never did. But I was the most recognized in all of them. Everyone knew me, before we folded because of the World Wrestling Federation taking over. I'm not all about the gold, JR. I just want to have fun and maybe put some titles around my neck. But don't get me wrong. I'm not this layed back when I have a fight, which I do. I don't sit back in the ring and let someone take me over. I am an animal and people know that. I'm exciting and fast and you can't catch me. I dont need weapons and shit, although those are my specialty. I'm technical and deadly.
..::Jim Ross::.. Rob. I know you like to do martial arts. You've been in several films and documentaries. Why wrestling? Why did you do this?
..::Rob Van Dam::.. You know what. I don't know. I love wrestling, and I still think I have more to prove. I ran my course through ECW and I ran my course through WWF. I proved what I had to but I have a lot to prove here in the 'GWE'.
..::Jim Ross::.. But Rob, many people feel they ran their course when they win the World Championship. You're yet to win it in any organization, is that a concern?
..::Rob Van Dam::.. Yes, It's a concern. But listen, I was the TV Champ but to me that was my World Championship. I wowed everyone, I mean maybe I couldn't beat Dreamer or Tazz or whoever at the time but whoever I did fight, I would kick their ass. Come on Jim I beat Sabu, Jerry Lynn in a 20 minute match, Tommy Dreamer, 2 Cold Scorpio. JIM, I held the TV title for a whole fuckin year! A Year! And if I didn't break my leg, I'd still be holding that title. I gained a backing and respect. I mean people could be like, "I fuckin' hate that Rob Van Dam guy, but hell did you see that move!" I mean, I wanna bring that here. I want to wow the crowd. The World title isn't everything, when I am able to I will have it. But right now, no. I know many greats never to win the World title. Many are here in the league, I've gotten the shot thank goodness but many greats never get the opportunity. When ECW folded, I was content, I did what I did and I was happy. I left. I came back when hell broke lose to the World Wrestling Federation to win 3 different titles. I was happy again. I left. I'm back here, I wanna fight I wanna win and I wanna kick some fuckin ass.
..::Jim Eoss::.. Rob, you say the past is the past. But your past was incredible. You were one of the most popular wrestlers of all time...Why leave that. You come here, why not ride on that claim?
..::Rob Van Dam::.. I could Jim. I feel it's important not to forget but more important not to force your past in the future. I already happened. I know I have a lot of fans but it's not for them. I know a lot of people find me exciting to watch, I'm glad. But Jim, I want to start a new 'past' I want to win and do good and put my stamp on the 'GWE' forever. Thats all I want. I want to prove I can beat them, not just throw, 'I was ECW TV Champ for a year' down their throats. I'm going show them why I was TV Champ for a year.
..::Jim Ross::.. Yes. Now Rob, your first chance to prove this, will be at 'Initial Independence' on Pay-Per-View. What about the competition?
..::Rob Van Dam::.. Now Jim, you'll have to wait for that. I think I'm going to tell the world what I think about the 'competition' later today. You'll just have to wait.
..::Jim Ross::.. Well Rob, I thank you so much. I hope to talk to you more. You were really a superb guest. Good luck here in the 'GWE'.
{JR stands up and Rob shakes hands with him and procedes out of the room. The long hallway is littered with wrestlers warming up but looking like they dont know what to do. He hasn't seen any of these people go out to cut a promo or anything yet. He walks down the hall and takes a left to his room. He puts on his tights and boots and is breathing in and out when the man speaks}
..::The Man::.. Are you okay?
..::Rob Van Dam::.. Oh course, I'm just getting ready...
..::The Man::.. Getting ready for what, Mr. Dam?
..::Rob Van Dam::.. Are you an idiot? Well, now it's time for me to introduce myself to to these people... Turn it on to Channel 14, and watch the magic of the 'Whole F'N Show'...Peace..
..::Rob Van Dam::.. I'm back... And glab. Now this Sunday night. Theres a little pay-per-view thing going on called 'Initial Independence' on the 27th. If you don't know I'm fighting 3 other people. First off I'm fighting Jeff Hardy. Jeff, wheres Matt, eh? Jeff Hardy, more like Jeff Hardly. Now this is weird, I like your style, reminds me of me. You take chances and some of the best tag matches I've ever seen involved you with your brother. I remeber the Swanton Bomb from the top of the cage and that all seems fun but I won't be on Sunday. I told JR back there that I wouldn't bring out the past of my actions, but for those who dont know I used to be in ECW, the 'E' for Extreme and thats what I'm going to bring to you three on Sunday. You don't know who your messing with Jeff. Pres. signed this match and what better way to kick off the 'GWE' then to beat the hell out of 3 people who I used to wrestle with in the WWF. Look at yourself, you're a little skinny kid who wants to be in the big leagues. You don't have what it takes, your a lightweight, and you're taking on three people bigger than you. One is slow and big, one is just like you, and then there's me. I know all three of you but nothing personal on Sunday. Jeffys no problem so moving along to Kevin Nash. Now Nash. If ya didnt realize by now, your the big and slow one I'm talking about. I don't like to bring up the past but Nash was a top man in WCW, he was with the nWo. All I think of when I think of WCW are a bunch of pussies. Sorry, I really thought you were good but there are too many big men in wrestling, step down. I liked Diesel, but i dont know anymore. WCW might have softened you up. It doesnt matter at all to me cause you will go down as one of the ones who lost to 'THE WHOLE F'N SHOW' Rob Van Dam on the first night of the 'GWE's existence. Lastly about my match, Edge, you are like Hardy. You are fast, athletic, but only a little bigger. I'm still not shaking in my boots, I will still lay it all out on you three. I know this is a new place, but why ruin a good thing, Edge, where's Christian? Are you and Hardy trying to make a new idenity for yourself or something. Not that I really care. Four way or one on one means little to me. I've proved myself elsewhere but here is going to be no different. I have a legacy in other places, and will soon have a legacy here in the 'GWE'! Sunday, I will prove that statement!
I know, I know, it's a slap in the face for 'Mr. Pay-Per-View' to be in the opening match but I don't care. It's all about working up your way through the ranks, picking your battles and taking yourself to the top. Undertaker and Triple H are lucky to already get the main event nod at 'Independence'. I would love that but too much pressure. Too much. I hope Hunter and 'Taker the best and hope ya stick around to enjoy this place. Moving along. I was just back with Jim Ross, and when I got back to my dressing room I turned on the television to see 'Raven', oh I mean AJ Styles. I couldn't help but laugh at that. It was quite funny. Now you think 'stylin' is what wins, come on. Just because you have 'stylish' clothes, doesn't make you better. Hell, your clothes don't even look that great. Now I heard you're fighting Raven on Sunday. Thats great, he's a great fighter but former ECW wrestlers have something you don't have, tolerance. I have it, Raven has it, Tazz has it. Its not just tolerance for people who don't know what they're talking about. But tolerance for pain and hurt. You can say stuff to us, and we just dismiss it. You don't get under our skin so easily. Thats right, I am sticking up for Raven because he's my friend. Come on, you look at your clothes to be a real man but I guess we'll find out. Thats just how it's going to be for my match. AJ, we don't need it. I'm not even fighting you but I would love to. You're already on my nerves. But thats not all, before Style-boy, I heard someone on the radio who is even more annoying than AJ...
{Rob stops abruptly. He looks into the crowd focusing. The crowd is cheering, some realize who he's talking about and then Rob raises the mic back to his lips and starts again}
..::Rob Van Dam::.. The Rock!
{The crowd boos}
..::Rob Van Dam::.. The Rock, has always been the most annoying, arrogant bitch in sports entertainment history. All the way back to the World Wrestling Federation. It's always been the same. Rocky is so full of himself, he's done nothing here and he's already big man on campus. I think it's contagious cause AJ's caught the bug. I though we were going to not make this the WWF? I thought this was the 'GWE' or am I in the wrong place. Rock, I loved the rhymes and putdowns, funny until the second time I heard them. I mean your predictible and I dont know how many of these people like you but by the boos and asshole chants, not many. I mean, its one thing to have self confiedence cause without you'll never win a match but it's another to have too much, and thats setting yourself up for a loss! Now Rock, you do have a Triple Threat match against The Big Show and Kurt Angle, the second to last match and I'm in the first match. I know that will come up when you respond to this. I mean, I can't help it. I'm sounding redundant but the past is the past. Keep the rhymes and shit but lose the attitude. Well, I'm out. You haven't heard the last of me this week. I'll be back if my 'opponents' respond to this. Otherwise, I'm going home!
{RVD slams the microphone onto the ground and leaves. He goes back under the second rope and up the ramp under the enormous black curtain. He runs into the man again. He blows right past them back to the locker room. The man follows him back. Rob is packing his stuff back into the gym bag, the man tries to get a few words to Rob but Rob leaves without a good-bye. The man slumps down beside a crate as 'The Whole F'N Show' Rob Van Dam leaves the building into the raining night}
