Located in cozy San Antonio, the academy is a place to send any dog to learn and relax at the same time. For 20 years SAWCTA has been the foremost authority on dog behavior and treatment. Our philosophy is that to train the best dogs, you have to have the best ways to do it. While at the academy, our dogs follow a daily routine including: -Daily running routine with veteran track dogs from nearby Retama Park -Dog psycology classes given by educated "Dog Doctors" -Gourmet Meals prepared by Culinary Experts -Dog messages for when your pup gets stressed during their stay -Class diversity encourages relationships with many other dogs -And of course, many other services... -------------------------------------Rates--------------------------------------------------------- Rates are normally not given over the web. Please email us or contact us for information about rates. Discounts are given depending on breed and previous patronage to the avademy. Also, seasonal specials are also given as permitted. Usual stays at the academy are at minimum 3 weeks, but can also be extended as needed to 2 months. A boarding service is also provided by the academy. ----------------------------------------Credentials----------------------------------------------- Our academy has been certified by the National Board of Dog Care Specialists since our foundation in 1980. We also have recieved recognition by the National Kennel Association and the Texas Association of Dog Owners. Our security guard dogs have also gone through rigorous training with San Antonio Police Department Dog trainers. This training is also available with a package at the Academy. Our past clients have been: Lassie, Blue(from the hit show "Blue's Clues") and many many others. Our chefs have also passed the National Dog Feeders exams All "Dog Doctors" are certified by the American Association of Canine Medicine ------------------------------FAQ's---------------------------------------------------- Q: Is my dog safe at Shana's World Class Training Academy? A: Yes. All dogs are monitored 24 hours a day by a number of trained police guard dogs as well as members of our staff. Q: Is sending my dog to the Academy expensive? A: ABSOLUTELY! Just kidding. Actually, because of special bonds that we have made with members of the dog community, we at the Academy have some of the lowest rates on the market. Q: Is there any guarantee that my dog will come back a "changed" dog? A: We here at the Academy guarantee that your dog will come home to you a better behaved and cultured dog, or we'll undertake additional training at no cost to you. We don't stop until the job is done right. Q: Can I see my dog while they are at the Academy? A: Actually, do to the nature of the training course, direct owner to dog contact is not generally allowed. In the case of a medical emergency or something of the nature, exceptions can be made.
