Their relationship ends when Makoto realizes that Shizuru's photographic skills are turning out to be much better than his own. Later, he learns that Shizuru has died in New York."
According to Aeric Wong: A brief synopsis, a photography student receives a letter from his dead girlfriend (played by Ryoko Hirosue) from New York. Along with the letter is a large number of photographs that she took in New York. That would be fairly strange in itself, but the photographs are so powerful and moving it was as if she has managed to capture all that epitomizes the very essence of New York. So much so that he is forced to conclude that he could never take pictures like that. Not believing that she is dead, he travels to New York in search of her. {Not official if I can use this or not!}

Taking place in New York, it's a love story with elements of mystery, suspense, film noir, comedy and road picture. A would-be photographer, Makoto (Ryuhei Matsuda) falls in love with Shizuru (Ryoko Hirosue). Their relationship comes to an end when Makoto realizes Shizuru's photographic skills turn out to be better than his own. Later, he learns of Shizuru's death in New York... The special 2-disc set includes a bonus disc loaded with extras. These include "the making-of" and other featurettes, visual fx (CGI) featurette, teaser(s), trailer(s), TV spot(s), textless outro, digital photo gallery, and much more.
