NANDAY CONURES

(Aratinga Nenday or Nandayus Nenday)

I have bred  Nandays in both Suspended and in conventional aviaries. We have tried to community breed our Nandays but it never worked we ended up with a threesome and a single, so we have gone back to one pair per aviary. Our Nandays use a cockatiel sized nest box with the bottom just covered in wood shavings,  broken apple tree sticks/branches are  thrown into their box as well, this gives them something to chew on and helps prevent them chewing their own box to bits.  This is not the case for everyone so we say use what works best for you.

I've 2 pairs of Nandays

These make great Pets.

They can be noisy these birds I think they are noisier than my Suns

2 Pairs of Nandays Conures (this is not the box we use for breeding)

As much as we like a group of Nandays we still only have one pair per aviary!

See the difference 4 days can make in growth between the 2 chicks.   nanday 20days old nanday chicks 16 & 20 days old
