Alison Cunningham's Resume

Currently I am a student at CSU Monterey Bay as well as an employee at Santa Teresa Community Hospital in San Jose, CA. I have been at CSUMB for four years now, and am a Human Communications Major. At work I am an Administrative Assistant in the Credentials Department. Although I work at a hospital, I do not want to go into the medical field at all, but I'm not sure what I do want to go into. I have a very outgoing personality which allows me to work well in any situation that I am placed in, and I enjoy going out and having a good time with my friends.

Education

1996-1999 Live Oak High School, graduated and received my high school diploma

1999- present California State Universtiy, Monterey Bay, working on Human Communication BA

 


Professional Experience

2001-present Administrative Assistant, Santa Teresa Community Hospital

Phone, fax, file, database entry, computer literacy, help to credential practitioners.

 

2000-2000 Sales Associate, KC's Hallmark

Assisted customers on sales floor. Rang customers up when ready to check out. Stocked shelves when new shipments arrived, as well as checked new shipments in. Dealt with customer complaints.

 

2000-2000 Unit Counselor, Girl Scouts Santa Clara County

Helped organize weekly activities. Checked girls in and out at beggining and end of sessions. Dealt with parents. Helped prepare meals when needed. Filled in around camp where needed. Assisted with managing camp operations and with implementing the unit program. Supervised the health and well being of campers.

 

1999-2000 Sales Associate, Fossil Company Store

Greeted customers who entered store. Assisted customers on the sales floor, as well as rang up customers when ready to check out. Stocked shelves when new shipments arrived, as well as checked new shipments in. Dealt with customer complaints. Took inventory of merchandise every few months. Worked holidays when open.

 


Qualifications

My outgoing personality allows me to communicate well with others both in the office as well as in a social setting. My open mindedness gives me the strength and ability to understand others perspectives an to not be judgmental in serious matters. I am well rounded and have over come obstacles that have been placed in my path. I feel I have a good head on my shoulders and I go for what I want, and I know what I want when it is important. My education has placed me in many group settings where ideas and personalities collided and I almost always am able to get the group back on the right track. I am very organized, and I know how to prioritize the tasks at hand so that the most important jobs get done first.
