NNMaddox: "'The Radio' is one of three generic titles I used for intros to songs. They represent three things I started doing only after moving to New York.
The first one is about listening to the radio. Without television I was forced to turn on the public airwaves for the first time in years and really get a sense of what people were listening to.
In this track, I imitate radio disc jockeys and even pay tribute to one of my early songs, "#1 Hunny"."
