Bio

NNMaddox is set to release his 5th album (1st solo) on May 6, 2003. Long Island Baby marks the first time Maddox worked without his musical partner, Johnny Skidmarks from his previous band The Abandoned Nutsack.

Born on October 8, 1981, Maddox began boombox recording acoustic metal/punk rock demos in 1996. The Abandoned Nutsack would disband in 2000, but not before releasing three full length albums and one EP. These cassettes are now very hard to find, and even Maddox himself does not own a copy of the debut.

After the breakup, Maddox's solo career got off to a slow start. Songs intended for the ill-fated Georgia Home Boy project were shelved. A collection of the band's "Greatest Hits" was scrapped due to lack of faith in the project. Maddox would not write a single song for the next two and a half years.

In December of 2002, Maddox began work on Long Island Baby, an album consisting of memoirs from his travels in the past year. The first songs these sessions yielded were "Go Fuck Your Hell" and "#1 Hunny." Both songs were featured on Internet radio stations, receiving favorable reviews.

Maddox re-recorded "#1 Hunny" with former Sack collaborator Charles Dysan. Dysan plays guitar on three tracks on Long Island Baby. After compiling eight tracks, Maddox wrapped up the sessions and prepares the disc for release. For information on how to reserve your copy, see the album section for more details.
