Naiyer Mallick was born in the capital city of Bihar in 1979, and completed his early education in his home town Gaya. In 1994 he moved to Aligarh and graduated in civil engineering from AMU.
During his college days he kept himself busy in various literary and political activities; and have had a brief honeymoon with the lefts there, including historian Irfan Habib.

Meet me at the other end of life,
