A Little Bit About MAPS

The MAPS organization is the designated Emergency Ambulance Service for Munhall, Homestead and West Homestead residents. Our organization is proud of the service we have provided to the residents of Munhall and West Homestead for several years and have pledged to continue our high quality of service to the residents of Homestead. We began covering the Borough of Homestead after Homestead Emergency Medical Services closed it's doors last summer.

To meet the increased demand for our services, MAPS has doubled our workforce and purchased an additional ambulance.

MAPS staffs 2 Advanced Life Support Ambulances 24/7 to serve our communities. We have a third ambulance that is staffed during regular business hours throughout the week to do non-emergency transports from Jefferson Hospital, and to do non-emergency transports for our subscribers. This would be for hospital releases etc...

Every time there is an emergency, we respond to provide the best ambulance service. We need the support of our community to keep this coverage on going. That support comes from you, the friends and neighbors of Munhall Area Prehospital Services.

The cost to subscribers to MAPS is $25 per person, or $35 a family. The cost is firm to be fair to all residents. We can not make exceptions. The subscription payment covers from January 1, 2003 thru December 31, 2003. Payment is due by January 31, 2003.
