All guitarist get sick of playing normal songs every once in a while. Playing fast, sounding good, and looking really spiffy is fun…but sometimes it’s just boring. That’s why today I will show you some really …well dumb shit you can do on your guitar. But one thing I promise you is – you won’t hear this on a radio. Here is a list of things that will be used
Lets Begin! Tremolo (FX) Rape
This is the FX I’m talking about…not your whammy bar. If you have an FX processor, activate your tremolo setting and set the speed relatively fast. I was screwing around one day and I realized that this FX can be wicked cool…but it takes some time to get used to. If you time your picking to the EXACT same time the sound swells in, you will create a Violin like sound. The objective is to pick the note 1 MILLISECOND before it swells in so you do not hear the pick striking the strings. Check it out… Aeolian

Back when shred was popular, guitarist started experimenting with this phenomenon known as the “Tremolo system” It’s really called a Whammy bar, but those pussy eaters like to call it ^^^.. Anyways, I have learned how to make horse noises and other weird shit by listening to the greatest shredders in the world (particularly Satriani & Vai). Well…you should know what harmonics are by now .. but for those who aren’t familiar with this style of …noise.. ill explain quickly…But for a in depth explanation just search the web. A harmonic is created by putting your finger over the fret (do NOT press your finger down on the fret) and hitting the string your picking hand. For example, a Harmonic on the 12th fret would be putting your finger over the 12th fret BAND (the gold thingy! Eh? Eh?) and striking the note with your picking hand.
