* Sport: Basketball.

* Year: Junior.

* Last week: Luke buried 9 of 12 from behind the 3-point arc and finished with a career-high 29 points as Kent-Meridian defeated Curtis in a loser-out SPSL playoff game, 74-55. Luke's nine treys tied an SPSL record. He contributed nine points in Saturday's 83-79 win over Kentridge that clinched a district berth for the Royals.

* Favorite class: Math.

* Favorite movie: ``The Patriot.''

* Favorite place to shop: Zumiez.

* Three people I would invite and what I would serve them: My mom, my brother and my best friend. I would serve spaghetti.

* If you were in charge of everything about your sport, what would you do (or change?): I wouldn't change anything.

* Greatest athletic moment: Hitting the nine 3-pointers against Curtis.

* Did you know?:  He maintains a 3.5 grade-point average.

Seattle Times:

Kent-Meridian 74, Curtis 55 (loser out) Joey Luke sank nine three-pointers en route to 29 points as the Royals (13-8) eliminated the Vikings (11-10).

Luke, a 6-4 junior forward, didn't miss a shot in the final three quarters for the Royals, who nailed 13 three-pointers. Luke made 10 of 13 shots from the floor.

K-M pulled away in the fourth quarter as Luke made his three final three-point attempts.

The Vikings stayed in the game behind Curtis Terry. The 6-4 junior guard scored 28 points, including 23 in the first half. He sank four three-pointers as the Vikings stayed in contention at halftime, trailing 37-30.
