Somerton Court, an expensive place
-a little for alot-

13109 Bustleton ave, Philadelphia, PA. 19116
my opinion, my experience

You just can't beat the green pool all summer, the $300+ gas bill all winter(that was before prices went up) or the rude person in the office all year long.
    Amenities included
  • A small feces flooded laundry room
  • A maintenance man who steals quarters out of the laundry machine and openly tells me it's for the raise he never got.(all the while staring at my boobs)
  • A green pool most of the summer. I asked the office when it would open up again and she said to me "DO I LOOK LIKE A POOL MAN". Well, she did look like a man anyway. Also it was explained to me that the pool is a bonus, if its closed all year long,oh well.
  • Expect to pay $300+ for gas from October to March. My rent was $750.00 plus $385.00 for a 2 bedroom top floor corner apartment.I believe the complex makes money not only on the rent but then they turn around and charge you residential rate for gas while they get charged a discounted business rate. Slick. They charge you for the gas used in the semi-private dryers while you pay to use them. Double charged. Slick. They brake down the gas bill not by apartment but by sections. So if you go on vacation for a couple weeks, it makes no difference, your still being charged for people in other apartments taking showers, doing dishes, doing laundry, ect... I'm in a four bedroom house now with a gas bill of $185.00. I told the office there must be a problem, I only keep the heat on 70. She said that was too high. The maintenance man told me there's hardly any insolation in the walls.(Acually he told my boobs that)
  • NO PARKING
  • Very rude women in the office. I guess she's Russian which I have no problem with but as soon as I said "I didn't understand you", She got meaner then a snake, just about screaming at me about how educated she is and how long she's been in this country and about how great her english is, I was shocked.
  • Do it yourself maintenance. I told the office most of the lights in my hallway were burned out, after a couple weeks I changed them myself.
  • Don't complain about anything. I had no intentions of staying but the family near me said she complained about a couple problems, when it was time to renew her lease they wouldn't do it.
  • They had entered my apartment FOUR times in one year for inspections of one type or another. Nothing like strangers walking around in your place of privacy.
