Baariq Wadi (an Arabian sim which I used to play before it went inactive)was part in Evanescence's creation. I purchased my first filly,Barake, from JJ as a show horse. Barake has wonderful bloodlines and had an excellent asking price for such quality and I couldn't resist the purchase.
Barake soon came of breeding age and I wanted the best stud possible for her first foal. It so happened another player during that week placed a stud ad. I don't usually look at inter sim ad's because horses usually aren't of high quality and the owner just wants people to breed and make something out of the foals without work on their half as the stud owner.Of course I looked but to find the most perfect stud for Barake within that message. Riven was an outstanding stud, his show record mostly composed of Ch and RCh placings but no foals yet and was unproven as a sire and the fee was free to the first 5 approved mares. Taking this I posted Barake unsure if she was good enough for this stud but to my luck she was approved! Then soon bred to Riven.
Upon Evanescence's birth I knew he'd be something special to me. So a special name was in order , most believe I named him after a band named Evanescence , but of course I didn't know they even existed until people said that. Evanescence's name originated purely from my vocabulary.
