Sunday night

By: Dan Geoffrion

Every week in the world, on all Sunday nights,

The boys and the girls flick on their lights.

Like a vulture perched, she hovers over her book,

Can't get away, like a fish stuck in a hook.

English, History, and Math too,

Tomorrow morning, they all are due!

Like a raging river, regrets starts to flood.

He shouldn't have gone out with his best bud.

But, smart is that boy who did his homework Friday night.

The boy who sets his priorities right

And now he has fun, and watches TV.

But, woe upon woe, that guy is not me!
