Bowl Online! Fun! Realistic!

Shockwave has a realistic online bowling game, for one or two players. Use your mouse to control the ball, automatically keeps score. Nothing to sign up for, no chat room. I bowled a 225! The question in our house is.. Does this count as gym clas?? If the bowling games doesn't come right up, go to shockwave.com and search "Bowling".

Upcoming Events:

Due to popular demand.. bowling will continue one more week, to include Friday, April 2, 2004. Cost is $2.00 per person, per game, includes shoe rental, Central Lanes, Salamanca. 1:00 pm

By request due to popular demand, juggling will continue one more week. Class is at Seneca School, Salamanca and is $5 PER PERSON. 4 pm. *Bizzy Gilman admits this class is the best homeschool class she's been to.

April 6, Tuesday, Smethport Toy Company Tour, sign up a must, still space left. 10 AM sharp. All ages welcome, free. (716)945-3138 to sign up, or email GailMGilman@aol.com (There may be a Zippo tour to follow, details forthcoming.) We'll meet at Bradford Mall @ 9am and leave by 9:15 am, then caravan over (not mandatory, just for those who are unsure of directions.) Young children should be in an umbrella stroller or carried for tour. No open toe shoes for toy factory.

April 9th, (Good Friday), Picnic (weather permitting), RED HOUSE, Allegany State Park, Pavillion across from the swimming area. Bring fishing poles, soccer equipment, your own lunch, and a bag of filled (candy or whatever..)plastic eggs if you want to participate in the Easter Egg Hunt. Volunteers to bring wood for fire appreciated. *I'm trying to set up a tour of Parkview, McDonald's, and Burger King to preceed the picnic. Ages 12 and under for that. These tours are very short.. Details TBA.

at Galleria Mall, Buffalo. Galyan's is free, Build-A-Bear is $12 PER BEAR. Galyan's is filling up fast. Rock climbing wall is limited to sign ups. More info. to follow. 10 am to 12 pm. (app. time for both events) Lunch in food court, buy or bring your own. There may be classes at Galyan's including Kayaking, Bicycling, and Soccer. More complete details as time gets closer.

JUNE 3, Midway Park HOMESCHOOL DAY!

All ages, $6.50 PER KID, ages 2 and up. BUT.. MOMS, ADULTS, CHAPERONES are FREE. Hours are 10am to 2 pm. We have a pavillion reserved for our group!! So pack a lunch, grab the little ones, and come have fun in one of this country's OLDEST operating amusement parks. They do have some activities for older kids, such as batting cages, Go Karts, and a climbing wall. (game room too) They do need a rough estimate of how many of us there will be as other school groups book these dates, too. If there is any chance you might be coming, please rsvp, it won't obligate you. Tour of their musuem to follow at 2:15, this is free and is booked for our group. Midway Park is near Chatauqua and app. 60? miles from Salamanca.

"GOLF LESSONS!"

Golf lessons will depend upon interest and group size. Open to all ages, anyone with an interest in learning the game. 3 to 5 weeks of lessons to be followed with a 'real' round of golf at Elkdale Country Club. Classes hosted by Daryl Gilman, avid golfer and homeschool Dad. Cost dependent on # of participants. Please email with your interest, does not obligate you.

June 14th, 17th, and 21st, Three Home School days at Darien Lake. The free tickets are good for just one of these dates. The free ticket reading program is closed for this year and will start again next fall. Open to ALL home school families! Each family gets one free adult ticket as well!!

September, 2004, *TBA* YMCA GROUP CLASSES! The Olean YMCA is currently negotiating a price for REGULAR, WEEKLY, GROUP Classes. They will be held either Monday or Friday mornings for two 12 weeks sessions at 90 minutes per session! Classes will include SWIMMING, GYMNASTICS, Learning the rules of games (basketball, etc.), exercise and more. ALL ages. Classes will run from the Fall on-, -break-, then second 12 week session after the Christmas holidays. Price is cheaper if you're already a YMCA member. These are actual classes and not just 'free time'. Excellent opportunity for our youth!
