ITRC is the official R&D Organ of the Ministry of Post, Telegraph and Telephone.

It implements projects with the aim of enriching thenational telecommunication network, prompting local industries and strengthening collaborations with academic and other R&D institutions. ITRC also has strong international relations with telecom companies, universities and consultative bodies.

The  APRG group is one of 12 groups currently active in ITRC. It carries out R & D activities in many areas with the following objectives :

           microwave radio_relay systems, mobile and wireless systems.

•  Study of propagation matters related to the systems mentioned above.
•  Basic research on new technologies such adaptive antennas, propagation in confined media

•  Publishing the outcome of research in the form of books, papers, technical reports and even

The APRG group now possesses an outdoor and indoor antenna test ranges in the frequency domain. Also, efforts are made to install indoor facilities for testing antenna near fields in the time domain.
