Quest
Animals have played an
important part in the history of the world. Animals were on this earth before
humans, and some species that are still around today were here on earth before
we were. Animals are kept as pets, in zoos and live in the wild they way that
they were supposed to. Unfortunately, due to hunters and other reasons some
animals have disappeared off the face of the earth and become extinct. You will
have to research an animal of your choice and then give a presentation on this
animal.
The Australian Animal
Science Corporation have extended an invitation to you to give a presentation
on an animal of your choice at the soon to be held International Animal
Expedition to be held in your class room. You will have to select an animal to
present on and then research this animal so that you are able to create an
interesting presentation for your audience at the expedition.

Select an animal
that you wish to research.
2.
Visit sites and
explore the information available.
3.
Using the
information available, prepare a presentation that covers some of the
following:

Physical
Characteristics
§
Habitat
§
Diet
§
Life Expectancy
§
Reproduction
§
Endangered
species information
§
Factors affecting
the animals survival
4.
Using MS PowerPoint,
create a presentation that you will be able to use to give an interesting
presentation inside your class room. The presentation should last for between
2-3 minutes.

Select an animal
that you are interested in.
§
Research the animal
using the resources above. Be sure to only make use of relevant information.
§
Do not put too
much information on slides. Presentation should not be longer than 3 minutes.

Web Quest should help you to utilize the Internet as an information resource.
It will also teach you about the animal that you selected to research. By
completing the web quest tasks, you will gain experience in creating a
presentation using MS PowerPoint as well as sorting through information to find
the most relevant information on your chosen topic.
